Erasing For Sale Threads?

Post by kramer »

Whats with all the threads that say "Done" and have all the details erased.

I rely on past threads to understand the value of smokes. Sellers should not be allowed to erase their for sale threads.

The threads can also be outright deleted. A few are famous for that to hide their tracks. Lol

Wade does it in the TSBC to clean up every 30 days or so.  Just take a screen capture and you have it saved on your phone

Which isn't a bad idea when selling/trading/buying items that are still illegal to purchase in this country. ......lol

Yes he does clean up. But I agree, deleting your post is pretty annoying. Unfortunately some would do it to cover their tracks. Others just don't want the HTF sticks they are selling to show up in the search function, lest you get people messaging you about more sticks which have already been sold.

I'm 50/50 on this. I really like the feature of being able to edit my post for spelling, correction on stick descriptions or adding photos etc.

At the end of the day, it's not a big deal. You're only gonna get a 30+ day window of similar pricing, which is plenty. If it's not there, just ask someone.
Be sure and make deposits in all areas of your life, because at some point you will need to make a withdraw. No deposits are more important than those made in relationships.

Just consult with taps on what to list it for. He'll tell you where to price it cuz he sure as hell complains if you're too high.

I prefer leaving a FS thread up for the reasons mentioned...

...but if I don't delete it then I get PMs for days asking "do you have any more?"

I really like when people use the "lock" function to indicate the item(s) have sold.

I agree about the FS posts being changed though, whether the whole post is replaced with "Done" or having just the price replaced with "done", because my curiosity doesn't get fulfilled. Kind of like being stuck in a traffic jam for half an hour and never getting to see what caused the whole mess.

It's not like the feds couldn't bust us if they really wanted to. My feelings on that are the same with naming vendors; the feds already know who ALL of them are.

I believe it is a good idea to leave the f/s posts alone and just lock it when items are sold. If there is a problem with a sale or conditions of a sale it can still be reviewed by all parties if the post is still there. If the post has been erased there is nothing to look back on. This is only good for a short time anyway as Wade clears out the F/S threads every month or so as other have mentioned.
