I'd love to buy from a legit shop.  Some problems arise for me though.  I live in the usa.  If I were to go ahead and buy a box from a legit shop, I would t have anywhere to put it.  Storage is limited for me.  Buying 5'ers is perfect.

Here's a thought...make some friends and do a group buy!

I plan on it after I work through my stash a little.  I've been dealing with two folks for a few years now that I pretty much get sticks from exclusively until I became a member here.  Now I've dealt with a few others.  Trying to meet some people to expand my pallet a bit.  No offense but I've noticed a lot of scum bags on here looking to scam others a make a bit profit.  The Cuban cigar world is risky business.  ;)

When you learn the history of this site...that may help you understand. The site has morphed from what it used to be....bummer really.

Heck...maybe we should put a disclaimer on the SB list...mentioning a word of caution about OLH!

[/quote]it used to be so hard to navigate, you could not even edit your postings. Stuff would get lost in the dogpile of threads. In some ways it was better, and in some ways it was worse. DannyM created an outlet for us to use for free to buy and sell cigars and the like. Then Wade took the reigns (that poor fucker didn't know what he was in for. LOL!) it's now this easy to navigate, and even easier to connect with other cigar enthusiast throuout the world. Great job Wade!!!

Just a thought but I think fewer people may have been scammed recently if people could post on the for sale thread.

We went though this a few yrs ago.

go back and look at rule 7.  (it's lined out)  I really got tired of banning people for that one.

Triple Ligero had lots of people posting on his threads how great he was.  lots of  :nana: :nana: :nana: :nana: :nana:

The community asked for it to be the way that it is.

I seriously doubt this is the kind of "morphing" that Gary is talking about.  I believe he is trying to speak to the fact that OLH has become a buyer beware market.
