Value of a Ligne 1 S.T. Dupont? (Pics included)

Post by MadMax »

What's up guys! I have a Ligne 1 S.T. Dupont which I am looking to sell. I believe it to be a Barley Palladium Finish, from what I've found online. I've included some photos. It works like a charm and I will include photos of it lighting up when I'm posting it for sale.
Do any of you know what the fair market value is on one of these? I've asked a few individuals on another forum and all I received was wild speculation based on personal beliefs (price estimates ranging from $100-$2,000). I'd highly appreciate any solid info on value, if possible.

Here are the photos: http://imgur.com/a/wYIrV

Thanks everyone!

I would recommend to check Ebay for the going rate and be prepared to prove that it is not a fake.

I picked up a couple of original used Ligne 1 for between $60 and $100 as a point of reference. They are not the most popular models, especially the ones with the older mechanism (recognizable by the flame adjuster).

Thanks for the input! I'll look around on eBay, I've just found a very wide range of prices although, I know mine does have the newer mechanism, (which can be seen in the photos).

Does it work?
Does it actually light?
If it does, maybe $80-$100 as people have mentioned

If it doesn't work (or you're not sure) then maybe $50-$80

Servicing these old Duponts can get expensive if they require parts to be fitted or replaced
I have a couple of Line 1s from the early 70's. They took a bit to get going but now theyre good as new

PM me if you want to talk turkey about it, I may be interested

It works flawlessly, I just don't use it very often which is why I was considering selling it. But at $80-$100 I might end up just holding on to it.
