Nice to see a few people understand what it means for Cuba to be Cuba. Personally nothing frustrates me more than to see some newbie post the "These look fake because of wrapper color". Go die in a fire if you think you can tell a fake by wrapper color alone.
People remember Cuba can barely feed itself but you are expecting APPLE corporation level quality assurance, AYFKM?
Thanks for keeping some of us grounded and providing a reality check.
Carry on

Re: Find the Fakes, Episode 1
It just comes down to your vendor. Either you trust them or you don't. If you don't trust them to begin with, you will find 15 different reasons to think they are fake. If you do trust them you'll write it all off as poor Cuba QC and prob not order that particular kind of cigar again.
Get a vendor you trust and enjoy the smokes, don't look over everything with microscope because you WILL find reasons to question your purchase.

I think the better question is this:
Would anyone bother to fake a 100-120 buck box of shorties like these ??
[/quote]
Same reason more people print their own 20s rather than 100s, less likely to be checked over.

I'll leave the CC discussion to the experts. I get CC from 3 different sources. Scotts humi, Mikes humi, and my neighbors humi. Lol!

Re: Find the Fakes, Episode 1
I really need to get the camera out some time and post up pictures of the box that I bought at the 5th ave la Casa in Miramar (Havana). I bought it just be cause it looked so fake. It is a box of 1998 Punch Churchills
Two tax seals, and if you tap them with the caps against the box none of them look like they are cut the same length. There were multiple witnesses who can confirm that I got them there.
Who was it over on CF that got some #4 sized cigar(s) that had something like Monte bands that had been wrappered over and another marque band put over it. (maybe the monte bands were on top, I don't remember, it's been over 10 yrs ago) I used to know who it was but it was one of the weirdest things I've ever seen.
