bands and cap no, maybe the seller denying my offer to send it to you or Ernie with fuck off might have. I tried my best to be objective. It was not east to smoke half of this.

But really, I've never had a habanos wreck my palate like that. It was not muted or ammonia tasting like a bad fresh box. If it was a box I bought from a legit vendor, I wouldn't resell it and would ask for my money back.

Just a question, about how many CoRos have you smoked?

Of those, how many were fresh?

Just trying to gauge your level of experience an expert.

Respectfully, you might take some time to read Moki's evaluation of TLs cigars or the thread on the fake Dunhills to see how this is done by someone with serious experience.

Absolutely. I had every intention of posting these on a private board many of us are part of and smoking it first, then sending the other to another person I trust with identical box codes. This thread was started before I had the chance to take decent pictures. As soon as I offered to send, I was greeted with fuck off and suggestions of ill intention.

For coro, off the top of my head 05,08,11,12,13. Five to ten packs, box splits, etc... Never excited me enough to go deep.

I think many of us intersect on private boards. That's why I generally try to keep my comments, particularly if they are critical, reasonably polite.

That being said, I think that CoRos don't smoke well young. And if you're not too familiar with that profile, it would be easy to say "this can't be a Cohiba".

I'll clarify my statement then.

This didn't finish like any habanos I've ever smoked from any marca. It was terrible in that regard. Id rather smoke piedras. Who knows, maybe it was my palate, maybe just that night, maybe subjective nature of te event kicking in. I'd be amazed if anyone thought this was good.

Taste is highly subjective! The band being the most obvious manipulation. It's a Cohiba, it has to be good, right?

Have you ever looked at blind taste test results? The vast majority don't get it right! What does that tell you?

The exercise here is to determine if the cigar is a Cohiba Robusto, not whether anyone thinks it's good.

That said, I hope this gets sorted out to everyone's satisfaction.

...

And Fred will not determine anything, but it is fun, no?

Ha, this is probably right, I'm certainly not Judge Judy.

I will however report on what I taste. I have smoke alot of CoRo both old and fresh, and have another MUO 14 CoRo from a friend to smoke as well. Going to have my wife blind both labels with A and B, and only she will know which is which. I'll leave my thoughts over the coming weekend, but that is all they are, my thoughts.

Score so far:

Packaging - Check
Wrapper - Check
Binder - Check
Filler - Check
Ash - Check
Band - ?  (also personally have seen worse legit bands)
Caps - ?  (though I have smoked plenty of Habanos that did not have a clear triple)

Smoking Experience - TOP SECRET

That is a pretty tough score to levy such charges...

I'll be curious to see the blind test results for sure.

Having watched this from afar without commenting... Nice work, that sums up my feelings precisely.

Sounds at this point like a new guy who didn't trust his source and got the jitters being egged on by more experienced guys who were well intentioned but not all that experienced

I agree it sounds like a newbie got the jitters. I also think 2 months is too long to bring up any questions. I also understand that he can't prove that the pics are the actual cigsrs sent. But then again how could he. Just an outsider looking in
