HUGE SCAMMER "HighEndCigars" Ripping off people!!!!!! Wade Pleae BAN him
HighEndCigars aka Nick Ellis (aka: Nicholas Ellis) is 100% confirmed as a Major FRAUD / SCAMMER. WADE please immediately Ban this A-hole!!!!
So I purchased couple of boxes and sent PP immediately, at this point he had fairly new positive feedback from a few members here in the community, so I was a little hesitant, but didn't go too deep (thankfully). Obviously he had a plan in mind. To sell a few cigars for several months, build some positive feedback and then drop a HUGE SCAM RIPOFF!
1) I got pictures of the cigars, they looked beautiful
2) I paid and provided shipping information
3) He was supposed to ship Monday (family emergency), promised to ship Tuesday (I emailed him wishing all the best to his family.. not too concerned at this point)
4) Tuesday he failed to ship because he said the PO couldn't identify my address (This was the 1st red flag!)
5) I confirmed and asked to ship to my secondary address so there wouldn't be any issues, then on Wednesday he send tracking number (had not updated yet) and I got an email that his wife's PP was frozen, he used her PP account. He explained he was about to head to drop of the package and before leaving he found out about the PP issues, and he didn't want to ship until after it was un-frozen (This was the 2nd red flag!) I explained he needed to ship regardless, as it is the right thing to do. If he didn't receive funds they eventually they would be refunded to my account and I would send him a certified check. I explained that others would immediately point fingers at him and he needs to ship out ASAP. He needs to do the right thing, I explained. Then the tracking updated on USPS and it was showing a 1st class package (as you know this can only be upto 13oz, so there was a 3rd Red Flag). I told him that he must have not weighed the package and was seriously upset because I was concerened at this point.
6) The next day (Thursday) he send me a new tracking number with the correct Priority mail. He said the package weighed in at just over 4lbs. I saw the tracking update and assumed ok maybe all will be fine (but had a weird feeling in my gut that something wasn't right)
7) Today (Saturday) I should have received the package, as it said "Out for Delivery" and got an error on the website saying delivery "address is unavailable" and that the package would be returned to the sender. I sent him an email and he appeared to be frustrated, but I said that I would contact my post office. My post office said that the address was incorrect compared to my actual mailing address when they looked it up in their system (Ok maybe a typo or something, but still a Red Flag)
8. Then Nick emailed me a picture (digital print) of the shipping label. All looked good, so I was thinking maybe USPS made an error.
9) I got a call from USPS and they located the package, I went to pick it up............ THIS IS WHERE EVERYTHING HIT THE FAN!!!!!!!!!!!!! The label had the wrong address and did not match what he had sent me in the email. It wasn't even addressed to my name, it was addressed to another persons name, had the wrong digits in the address (he switched a "6" to an "8", and was missing the suite # (he completely left it out) . He intentionally used a graphic editing software to make the shipping label that he emailed me look like the correct information. The tracking numbers on both labels were the same. When I got the package it was undamaged, never opened, the USPS box was fully intact. but it was light as a feather and when opened it was EMPTY!!!! not even tissue paper inside.
This package was never intended to be received by me (This is his plan, to buy more time to scam others, as his packages are undeliverable and eventually would be lost in space, he could claim he shipped and it's not his fault.), Thank goodness I figured it out and luckily was able to intercept the package, hopefully this thread will help save some good people from loosing their hard earned money. Now he was and is still trying to buy more time. He wants more time to SCAM others..............
Wade please ban ASAP. We need to protect the community, he has probably scammed tens of thousands from good people in our community. DO NOT do any transactions with him. Thank goodness I located this package, and cross-referenced it to the bougus fake label he emailed to me as PROOF this is a fraud! It would have been shipped back to him, and the truth must be that he never intended for me to receive the package. His address is 99.999999% a bogus address, then the package would have been lost, and he would have claimed that he shipped and the package must have gotten lost, claiming it's not his fault. I caught you red handed you a-hole. I'm at a loss of $1500, but I'm sad to say that there are probably others who are at a loss of much more. :'(

Re: HUGE SCAMMER "HighEndCigars" Ripping off people!!!!!!
I bought a box of RA Phoenicos from Nick Sunday. Luckily I also bought an LGC jar and 98 Cohiba Robusto but as he had little feedback I just bought the RA's and total him when they arrive if everything was good I would pay him for the other two boxes.
As Steve stated he stalled all week then finally mailed Thursday. My package has not landed as it seems it is stuck because of an error in the label. Seems like he was trying to get the packages sent back to get more time to sell more boxes. Look like he may have pulled out the biggest scam in OLH history as he sold a bunch of boxes of CGR's. Have seen pictures of Steve's fake label he sent him and the label with the same tracking # and different address. Looks like we were all taken big time.

Can't you have PP refund the $ claiming the seller did not send goods? Not 100% on PP refunding but I know they have some sort of buyer protection.

Man I am so sorry... Saw the post and passed due to his newness... It's getting harder to trust people, even when the prices aren't pie in the sky

God thats nauseating to read. Sorry to hear about that, it takes an especially appalling individual to do that.
