I have smoked many oily-assed Anejos that pump out tobacco oils as you smoke them...when you are done, your lips have tar/oil all over them, and your belly starts to hurt (and sometimes the room starts to spin)...

is it me or does it seem like the smoke stink sticks with you longer (hands, hair, clothes, etc) when smoking nics vs ccs? I feel like my hands, and mouth always still smell like smoke even after washing hands multiple times.

anyone else experience this?

as of now, its ended and closed, with no bidders... so, that means the seller took an under the table offer (illegal based on Ebays rules), or sold them elsewhere and closed the auction down.

I'll second that.  The leftover room smell also seems to dissipate quicker for high end CC versus lower end or bargain sticks, which tend to stick around about as long as NC.  I love me some Padrons and Olivas Serie O, but they'll reek up the back porch for several days, wind blowing or not (must be in the seat cushions.)

Along a similar vein, I have noticed that the room funk typically smells wonderful after CC, but tends to smell like old, dirty ashtray butt if it's NC, regardless of quality.  Case in point, I smoked a CoRo in my shed last Sunday, and for almost a day after, whenever I walked in, it smelled exactly like the cigar itself - hay, grassiness, and creamy on the backend.  Oddly enough, Fuente seems to leave a room smell more akin to CC than NC (although not quite as delicious).

I rarely can smell smoke on myself after smoking.  I have found that if I need to get the stink off my hands (playing with the boy, washing laundry, important meetings, etc.) that rubbing alcohol helps some.  If you need to mask it further, a drop of non-irritating essential oil cut with a few drops of the alcohol masks it for hours.

To follow the tangent on smoke smell a little.

CCs do tend to leave less of a residual odor.  Call it whatever you want but there is less stank at the end of the cigar in the room.

I smoked a few drew estates to try them and overwhelmingly the room smell is terrible after.  Not sure if they are adding an oil/tar to the cigar to do it, but the room and myself smell just gross after.  I had a comment once asking why I smelled like diesel fuel after I had an undercrown.  Never smoked another one.  They leave a residual smell that stinks for days on end.

Other NCs can do the same but DE was a major culprit.  Oliva V is one of my favorite cigars but it does leave a pretty strong room smell after.

On topic of the ebay posting.  Maybe Ebay caught on and deleted the post.  Or his fake bidder got too high.
It's the paint they are using on the Liga products. They paint their cigars to make them all look uniform in color. No proof about the paint, but it's the only logical explanation. ;D

Didn't Rocky Patel admit to doing something similar like ten years ago?

I've also suspected liga did something to make the cigars smoke so damned much.

And I'd bet dollars to dildos that some manufacturers are flavoring their smokes without admitting/stating such.  This is only conjecture.

Interesting topic. My wife comments often on my smell after a cigar. Sometimes she loves it. Some times she says I stink. I pretty much exclusively smoke CC's. From this I deduct that some CC's smell good and others not so good.

I find that smoke clings to people differently especially when it comes to cigarettes which I don't smoke. We al know the guy or gal that smokes cigs and reakes (sp).

I've also had many tell me my farts smell like freshly cut oranges on a spring day.

Go figure.

They (DE) "season" their Liga tobacco with a "mojo", which is a fancy name for the tea of oily dark tobacco leaves soaked in water and boiled and re-filled. They apply it while the leaves are in Pilons to keep the fermentation temperature high.
