I really like the Left Hand Milk Stout... it showed up here about a month ago. I have not been overly impressed with any of the Terrapin releases, but we get them all, since PA is a close neighbor.

Left hand is decent for me. Bells double cream is better imo. If you can find it give that a shot. Milk and cream stouts are hit and miss. Not as easy to make as coffee stouts.

I find the left hand watery. Carib Royal Extra Stout out of Trinidad is one of my favorites. John

I'm assuming you've tried their India Brown Ale? That was one that took me back and made me say wow. It's truly what it claims to be - a perfect cross between a brown and IPA.
Sorry, y'all... back to milk stouts.
Meh. Give me a balanced Imperial or Oatmeal stout anyday. Have been loving Founders' Breakfast Stout (watch out for the caffeine content on some batches) and am having a buddy send me some of their Canadian Breakfast Stout.

Terrapin is in Georgia just saying. :)
I've been enjoying the duck rabbit milk stouts myself.

I'm on my second round of antibiotics and you guys are killing me. I haven't had anything to drink in 2 weeks. These beers you are describing are right in my wheelhouse. I will be looking out for these suckers, and stocking up. That oatmeal stout sounds mouth watering! But in a manly way. 👍

I am not a big nut brown or brown ale fan in general. The last cross between an IPA and brown I had was the Stone 18th anniversary beer... and I didn't like it much at all. I can get the Founders Breakfast stout around here, and I want to say I had a 4 pack at some point and thought it was pretty good.

If it's oatmeal stout you like, Sam Smith is still probably my all time favorite - don't know how they can produce so much and have it come out so perfect. Experience?
