Are you actually the official apologist for Dallas? Or are you just a volunteer?

Unless he mysteriously has lost the ability to type, let him respond to this thread himself.

But you feel the need to do the same for the OP is any differnet how?  I'm just trying to be a mediator and given the lynch mob mentality here, I wouldn't be here if I were the one being crucified, whether it was fair or not. It's like opening my work email which is nothing positive, so I avoid it for a couple of weeks at a time.

Let the BZ commence with the lynching. :D

Update:  I received an email last night from Dallas that sticks are on their way to me.  Not exactly the type was waiting on due to lack of availability, but they're close enough.  I'll update again when I receive them.

Read the timeline.

Buyer admitted to wanting the order fulfilled until now.  At no point from the deposit until the original post does it appear the buyer asked for anything other than the cigars to be filled.    Had Dallas realized the mistake early on and just sent a refund for the missing bundle, there'd be people on here bitching about that too.

[/quote]I think these are custom rolls, by some rolling guru. I imagine the time and effort to blend and roll these does take a bit of time, and its not a quick process. It is a bit more time than I would have patients for, and some people need to communicate more than others. I hear legends about how awesome these cigars are. As long as people get their product it's all good.

I bid on some custom rolled cigars in a CFCF auction once. It took almost a year to get them. But that was a totally different circumstance.

I've had several different ones - it's only legend. They're good, but not great, especially with the wrapper shortage currently plaguing cuba. Decent for a change of pace, but after my foray into customs, I'm back with regular (and some RE) production smokes and don't buy them anymore.

The one exception ill make is monsdales, although now that the cat is out of the bag, their price has gone through the roof (saw them for over $18 each on another forum recently) and a good psp/hq Monte #1 beats them every time.

My 3 cents.

Life can get in the way for a myriad of reasons and often does just that. What seems to be quite clear by the account of the OP is a severe lack of communication when that is often all that is required.  It seems to me had there been at least a minimal amount of coms from the seller the need for this thread and talk of scumbag list additions would have been greatly diminished.

It really is amazing that after no contact for months and a post in the battle zone and mere mention of the scumbag list and sticks are now being shipped!  The power of the pen, or in this case, the keyboard.

Wow, this is fun to wake up too. Actually, I spent yesterday catching up on email, getting a last set of packages out, and taking care of some other stuff. Had a bit of a messed up week last week. So, Drew was not the only one getting sticks, nor was he the only one that got email yesterday.

I am just seeing this now, as I have not been on the boards since the holidays. I local friend and another member here shot me a text and email to take a look. Drew got his email before I even looked at this thread. Funny coincidence though, can't deny that.

That being said, I have not gotten any emails or requests for refunds from Drew since our last discuss. I even gave him my phone number and asked him to call me in Oct., and he still has it to call anytime. I offered a refund when he first posted this and he said he did not want it but wanted the cigars. Ok, fine. I told him the next batch I could get papo would have his order. I placed the order, got the cigars, and an now shipping them out with a couple other orders.

We already detailed the mishap, and this is the only set of cigars I got from Papo since Oct. The new post makes it sound like he requested a new refund or asked for an additional status update, and he did not. Posting on a thread in the BZ is not asking me directly for something. Call me, text me, email me.
