I'm going to put this out there for everyone so it is understood.
For better or worse there are very few reasons that I ban people from Onlinehumidor, but in the end it's my call as to who gets the ban hammer. I've repeatedly stated that I do not get involved in trades here. What happens between two adults is not my concern. Now, the internet word parsers take that and say I don't care if you get ripped off. That is not true. What that means is that I am not in any position to protect you, nor will I put myself in a position that you may feel that I am responsible for your protection. So, if to you that means I don't care, I can live with that.
What I can try to do, and what I will not tolerate is someone manipulating the mechanics of this board to gain access, in particular to register more than one account/alias. because the only reason to do that here is to rip people off. If I think that you have done that you will be perma-banned. Period. Now for the reasonable doubt part. This is not a court of law. It is the court of my opinion, and the test here is that I have a reasonable belief that someone is or has registered with more than one account. (read that again)
I try very hard to be even handed here. I'm not on a power trip as the site admin and I try not to be arbitrary or capricious in my enforcement here. On the other hand, this is not life, it is the internet, and if I toss out a couple of innocents to get the offenders I'm not particularly worried about it.
So, if you are one of those people who registers with more than one acct and you think that you can stay here by maintaining "reasonable doubt" of your guilt, then that would be a bad approach. Anyone who gets tossed for being suspect, my apologies.
I have on at least one occasion reversed a perma-ban when the banned person presented me with irrefutable evidence of their identity, so if you get tossed and you really want to be a part of this community be prepared to prove who you are to me (and nobody else)
