Why people got banned last week

Post by WadeFillingame »

For those who don't understand what happened last week.

There are very few rules here, this one:

7. DO NOT POST NEGATIVE COMMENTS ABOUT OTHER PEOPLES POSTS!  I'm not kidding, this portion of the site is not a discussion forum.  If someone wants to post the unreleased "sooper-dooper-one of a kind rolled on Selma Hayek's thigh" that you gave him because he told you he loved you do not complain about it here.  It destroys the flow of the board and makes people search through crap to find things that they want.  Take it to the Battle Zone  I want to be crystal clear on this, posting negative comments on peoples threads in the TSBC will get you suspended.

is found in the sticky post at the top of the TSBC.  I think it is pretty self explanatory.

In the end what happened last week was that some posts got reported for rule 7 violations.  I deleted the posts, then more people posted, and I gave them temporary suspensions and edited the posts, then more people jumped in and continued posting.  That was in direct violation of the rules after they had been made clear and defiance of me.  At that point I started banning accts and blocking IPs.

Why I do that may not be clear to everyone; simply this, I may not like the people selling the cigars ( in some cases I don't), and I may not agree with their methods (again often I don't), but the TSBC is a safe place to sell your cigars for what the market will bear with out any BS.  Period.  This is not a charity site, if you want that go to the CFCF.  (OK, this is a non-profit site but that is on me) If I didn't hold to this rule there would be people bitching and whining every time that someone sold anything for more than MSRP.  If you don't like the deal then don't don't buy it, but do NOT post negative comments in that room.  I'm sorry you really wanted that cigar and you cant afford or are not willing to pay what someone is asking, get over it.  I wish I could have a couple of boxes of Davi DP's at MSRP too, but last time I looked Mitch was getting upwards of $100/stick so that's not happening.

For $250 I would rather get the 100 year old Cuban at Caesar’s Palace in Vegas.
