I guess I haven't kept up on NY politics. Are you telling me that if I lived in NYC and took a walk in Central Park on a Spring/Summer day, I wouldn't have the right to fire up a cigar?
Maybe it isn't the greatest city in the world

Correct
Central Park is No Smoking
It'll cost you $120 for the experence
I was there back in May and just sparked a cigar anyway
A nice Liga Privada Double Corona for my walk through the park
One of the park rangers caught me when I was about halfway done and wrote me a fine.
He told me I had to put it out, I refused and said that seeing as this smoke has just cost me $120 I was going to finish it.
He said if another ranger saw me i'd be another $120. I just walked away
It was a nice day. Totally worth the $120

Was in NYC last weekend and went to the Carnegie club. It was awesome! Great atmosphere. On the pricier side but you're in NYC so expect it.
They have a Sinatra show at 8:00 and 10:30pm on Sat nights. They were outstanding.
I got to smoke, drink and scout the waitresses and female friends of some of the older guests. The wife even loved the place.
I will back back. Hopefully next time with some OLH members.

A cigar is as good as memories that you have when you smoked it.

How is it possible that at one of the largest tourist attractions in the greatest city in the world, there is not a cigar bar located within walking distance where you can sit down and have a drink.
I can get dumped off anywhere within shithole Scranton, PA and within 3 minutes of walking, find 5 places to have a drink and cigar.
Damn Yuppies!

First define walking distance. I love to walk the streets of NYC. Should have taken Scotty's advice. I met up with him and La Gloria from CF board and we had a great afternoon at De La Concha.

Re: Looking for Cigar Bar/Shop close to Times Square for this Saturday!
Just got back from NYC after a 4+ hour bus ride that should have taken 2 hours with good weather. Bus slid the entire way, almost clipping 2 cars, a tow truck, and a cop pulled over on the side of the road.
On a positive note, ended up stopping at the Nat Sherman townhouse. Beautiful building, gorgeous members area down below, but thought the humidor was small with not much selection and not much seating at all. Was able to grab a seat near the humidor. Spent an hour talking with the Florida State Public Relations Director. He was in town for the Heisman Presentation. At one point, he was on the phone with Winston asking him if he wanted to do Good Morning Americal. Pretty cool place, enjoyed a Nat Sherman that I think is fairly new with a silver label, not bad, but at $19, I can see why anyone from NY would have their cigars shipped in

Love it. Years ago right after the Communist regime banned smoking in the Park. I was fined $50. I have the "officer" cash and he never returned. I enjoyed my Padron 1926 and that was that. Sad though, I used to lovr sitting in Washington Square, smoke one and watch the world go by.
Cheers,
PFitz
