And so the latest stampede begins ... anyone else sucked into this con? Every time I fall for the "honest,  this time it really IS a limited release, and it's not factory seconds of some shit we couldn't sell before" I feel like I have to take a shower or read a novel to reclaim my intelligence.

But I'll probably do the same damn thing the next time Brooks writes up the latest release from our Nicaraguan crack dealer friends...

I'll step up to the plate because I did buy a box.  I've smoked both Exclusivo Robustos and the Chiquito and really enjoyed the sticks.  And to keep it simple, they are very strong and have a lot of flavor.

I don't normally buy a box of this stuff.  I'll snag a 5'er if the cigar meets my profile and don't have pay through the nose to get it.  I stepped away from a box of the S&Bs because of the price and size of the smoke, didn't seem worth it.  But since i've had a total of 6 other Exclusivos and enjoyed them all, figured i'd get a box.  It's a good cigar.  The hype and marketing is getting bit obnoxious, but the cigar is still good.

If they end up not being my cup-of-tea, i'll try to sell some at what I paid.  Not here to make money.

I'm not a fan of other Viaje Store Exclusives especially when all they do is provide an extension of the ORO or Platino line in a standard shape (not perfecto).  But Tower's 45th Cigar is based upon the exclusive blend (DES/Exclusivo Short) and it's a highly enjoyable flavor.

Since they had a limit on the number of boxes one could purchase, I certainly don't believe we'll see a surplus of these on OH unless someone is looking to make some money and selling their only box.

Well said Batista.

But they didn't sell out right away.  They were up for a good 30 minutes, taken down, then 29 more boxes were available, which eventually sold out.  My guess is nobody bought 5 packs so that's why the 29 went back up.

However, I think people are getting sick of the single-store/limited release stuff.  It's great marketing, but might piss off more consumers than it pleases.  Call me crazy, but I want to smoke one before I buy a whole box.

That's why I am happy to see more of the Tat Reservas with Connie Broadleafs becoming regular releases (7th Reserva, Petit Cazzy Reserva and hopefully the Regios Reserva).  If its a hit, sell it!

I agree. I also bought a box. I have enjoyed all the Exclusivo blend cigars. I would much rather pay $10.50 for these than around the same for a 3.75 inch Skull & Bones. These will be coming out yearly for Tower cigar. They may not be the same size each year. It is true that there was a limit of 1 box so there should not alot of people selling multiple boxes. If for some reason these are not as good as I expect them to be then I will sell some. These have also been rolled a while ago(about 8 months ago I am told)so they shouild be pretty good early on.

Great info Smokin.  And totally agree on this year's S&B.  I got 3 WMDs and 3 MOABs when I was planning on buying a box this year, esp after how much I liked the Daisy Cutter.  But even shorter than the Daisy Cutter????  I'm disapointed and I haven't even smoked a new S&B yet.

Give me OR Exclusivo Robustos and Tat Black Petit Robustos and I will be on my merry way.  I will never ask for another cigar from either brand again.

I smoked one of each size (WMD/MOAB) and have a bunch more in the humi.  I definitely enjoyed the flavor profile on these and see the upside to them in a few months or so.  That being said, the biggest negative associated with these cigars is the size which in my opinion, is ridiculously small for the price.  However, I'm a slow deliberate smoker and got about 1 hr 15 min out of each one first time around which isn't too bad.
