Yea, damn I wish I'd bought more when they were just expensive, I'm sure now they are stupid expensive.

Hey so I was thinking about Cuban cigars and the current US market, from what I see trading here.
Since Tats, Dirty Rats and stronger than anything sticks seem to be the current trend, should Cuban cigars become available, will they be as popular since they are not that bold/strong?
And with the premium price, how about that factor too?

CB it's a small but vocal segment of the market that likes the strong cigars, in general the US market is for very mild cigars. Conn Shade is still te bread and butter and the most expensive wrapper out there. In general Havanas are stronger that what the average US cigar smoker likes, then again you've got HdMs that are about as mild as any cigar ever rolled. Personally I think the quality of the flavor of FFOX has fallen in the last 6 or 8 yrs. They used to have flavor and strength, these days it seems it's more strength than flavor.
When it finally happens it will work out, in the mean time when it does I hope I have a 5 yr supply laid in because the quality is going to go to hell.
Oh yea, the Estupendo is not anywhere close to mild.

Thank you for your response. The Behikes Matthew and I smoked were smooth and quite mild compared to let's say, any Opus X. Cohibas, Partagas, Montes, R&J's - the names that the public will know and pursue - all quite mild. But a good peppery Bolivar or those little coffin nails (that is what I call them), Trinidad Reyes... That should do the trick for a Dirty Rat smoker.
