Just curious to see if any legit experienced cigar smokers are into this fat ring gauge fad.

Mareva
Lonsdale
Lancero for Havanas
For NC, usually the thinnest they make, but I have found a few cigars where the blend is better with a little heft. La Flor Dominicana and Fuente Don Carlos spring to mind. Nothing over 52 RG.

PC used to be my sweet spot.
Now it’s Corona Gorda (perhaps because of the available blends). I am still buying CG’s.
DC is as much of a jawbreaker as I’ll go. Mostly for the length though so the experience can build for several hours (as in a two hour college basketball game).
I have a lifetime supply of plus 50rg sticks I tried and didn’t like. I used to give them away to good friends. With prices where they are I may end up putting some partial boxes up on BR in a year or two.
Garbandz got me started on the right approach simply by pointing out that the jaw breakers often had more filler than the smaller rg of the world so why waste money on things that don’t add to the taste?
