I wondered if there was a guidline as to how much the value goes up for every year a cuban is aged.
Example .... Like 3% for the fist 5 years 5% from 5-10 years 8% for anything over 10 years.
Just wanted to know if someone could share the knowledge on this issue.

The longer you age them, Most likely the more you will appreciate them :bigup:

Forgot to add, that is the value, at least to me......Great things come to those that wait

I would say if you have any original release of most habanos or high end Dominican cigars, I think it adds some very nice premiums to it since they are a one time deal.  After 5 or so years, I would say it is nearly 40% for the mentioned cigars. Intact boxes should clearly demand more $$ than an opened box.

40% after 5 years?  Wow!  The value of my inventory just went up considerably.

Totally cigar dependent IMHO.  Some cigars you could age till the cows come home and they still wouldn't warrant anything above MSRP (if even MSRP).  Others are an instant success and bring premium (2x MSRP) money in 3-5 years.

Take a look around the world and you will find lots of Cuabas in aged inventorys  Hmmmm... ???
