Just because I'd like to help stamp out ignorance.

Taps, there were actually several official flags of the Confederacy.

The Stars and Bars had at least 4 official variations where the number of stars was change.

In mid 1863 the "Stainless banner" was adopted as the official flag

And just before the end of the war the "Bloodstained Banner" was adopted:

There were also some slight variations in the official Naval ensign and the jack flag.

Bloodstained Banner:

The Congress of the Confederate States of America do enact, That the flag of the Confederate States shall be as follows: The width two-thirds of its length, with the union (now used as the battle flag) to be in width three-fifths of the width of the flag, and so proportioned as to leave the length of the field on the side of the union twice the width of the field below it; to have the ground red and a broad blue saltier thereon, bordered with white and emblazoned with mullets or five pointed stars, corresponding in number to that of the Confederate States; the field to be white, except the outer half from the union to be a red bar extending the width of the flag.
   â€”Flag Act of 1865

Don't know who is saying otherwise, but they are wrong.

The news bud. It's been nuts down here.

Listening to idiots on the news about anything other than the current size of Kim Kardashians ass is pretty pointeless.

You may not be able to see on your device if you are on a mobile, but the two flags that I show above are white with the battle flag in the union, the stainless banner is otherwise all white, the last flag is white with a red stripe on what is about the last 1/3 of the flag.  (the exact demins can be determined from the act)

In reality most of the Bloodstained banners made, and there werene't many, it was only the flag for about two months,  actually had square battle flags in the union and not the rectangle described in the act as that was what the official tailors shop had in stock.
