Here are my thoughts, some of the threads about the various scumbags have disappeared into the history here and regardless of the warnings I've put up about due diligence, or the effort put into maintaining the Scumbags List people still go and get taken by the same guys again and again, even though their record is pretty well established.

If I do this this will be a no-posting sub-forum of the BZ.  I'll move BZ threads there, and they will be archived there for people to browse, but no more posting on the threads, they will for all practical purposes be closed.

If I do this I'll have to rely on you guys to top the things you think warrant moving over there.

It sounds like a great idea to make it easier to avoid the thieves and shady-types, but, then again, BZ threads dont appear to ever die and the search function makes it pretty easy to find data re: forum members.

Still, I'll vote Yes.

The only thing I would like to ask you to consider Wade is to actually put this on the front page of the forums so that people see it without having to visit the BZ, which some people avoid. The no posting rule is vital or it would become way too cluttered. Just my $.02

First of all, thanks for having an interest in addressing the situation.

The idea is only as good as the number of people that actually read the battle zone. The BZ is labeled as another "discussion" forum. If you're not into discussion, you're never gonna go there. Many who frequent the TSBC have stated this.

How about this....within TSBC, make a forum called known [b]Known Scumbags[/b]. Move the locked BZ threads there. After all, once they are busted this becomes a TSBC issue, not a discussion issue.

How about renaming Trader Comments to [b]Trader Comments and Scumbags[/b] and moving it to the TSBC section. Moving the BZ threads to a sub-forum of the Trader Comments.

This will certainly draw more reader attention and awareness.

I think a Stickied Scumbag Trader thread in the Trader Comments forum would work best.

Keep a list of the known offenders in the OP, not allow any replies to the thread and just update your OP when a new scammer is known to be a member here. The diligent posters would PM you when someone is proven to be a Scumbag and needs to go on the list.

At this point I don't know why I'm fazed by it, but if anyone takes the time to read the stickey thread in the TSBC titled [color=red]READ THIS BEFORE YOU POST ANYTHING *UPDATED 9-29-14*[/color] there is a link to the scumbags list, it's been there at least since the TL mess.  

I like the idea of moving threads to a subforum of the Traders Comments forum.  The BZ isn't for everyone.

As for those guys who don't come here to look at anything but the TSBC and don't want to be part of the community, I can't help them. Failing to use the resources that are available makes you a fool, and you know the saying about a fool and money.

Oh, and no, I have no intention of trying to recreate what has been done with the scumbags list. It just occurred to me that having all of the dirty laundry in one place might help some folks not get scammed.
