People read a few threads on a forum somewhere and then become experts on the matter.  Same happens on every single forum out there.  Benchracers, to MotoGP wannabes, to tacticool, to cigars.  All the same.

I will say that I don't fault UBB - he is obviously new to CC if he trusted Catfish's opinion.  It seems like he was led on a crusade by a self-proclaimed expert.

Catfish, on the other hand, was aggressive and arrogant to HibaFan from moment one.  How much of an expert can he be if he's judging CC by how they look?  Is that all one needs to be an expert is a website? ???

Although I have had no prior issues with DiamondDog (aka Hibafan), and I did buy a few smokes from Steve over the past few years, if it was Wade's choice to ban him due to rule infractions, then its not right for him to secretly come back under yet another handle... please don't forget this too Aiden.

In the end its probably a worse infraction to potentially accuse someone of propagating fakes, but an outright rule infraction doesn't get Hibafan off the hook so easily in my eyes.  Steve may have real smokes but he broke the rules, Wade's very well documented rules.

I'm curious, were pics included in the original sales posting?  According to Fred, the bands were really bad.  This is one reason why I like sales posts such as the ones by The Gipper where pics are always available.  There has been several times where I asked for pics from a seller before agreeing to a purchase.

If I was spending $300 or so on a box of CCs and received a box with bands as crappy as Fred is describing, I would probably be a little pissed although I would of addressed it immediately with the seller upon my initial inspection.

This is now twice in recent memory where boxes of cigars with crappy looking bands were sold without any notice/disclosure to potential buyers or the eventual buyer.

FWIW, he never demanded, or even asked for his money back. He expressed valid concerns.

He clearly stated that several times in the thread, and Hiba never disputed it. So, yeah, I'm inclined to believe he never asked for his $ back.

If I remember throughout that meandering thread, UBB didn't want his money back.  He and Catfish just wanted to drag HibaFan through the mud and make him look bad.  Why?  Who knows?
