OMG! with fresh grated nutmeg, these things are wonderful.
(you should try navigating a mooring field in a dinghy at full speed with a flash light after a bunch of them)
 :nana: :bounce:

Middle of the night in BVI, coming back from a bar (forget which one) on the left side going into Sopers Hole. Had a bunch of pain killers. Full throttle across the mooring field in the dinghy, holding a flashlight over your head so others might notice you, and trying to figure out which of those sailboats is yours. They pretty much all have one of three paint jobs (Moorings, Sunsail, or Footloose), so it's not as easy as you might think. I ducked an anchor chain that night. :bounce:
1 part orange juice
1 part creme of coconut
4 parts pineapple juice
2 + parts rum, to do it right you use Pussers
Serve on ice
Grate fresh nutmeg over the top
They go down soooo easy.

Great drink. I have a place in town that makes their own creme of coconut. The whole squeezing their own coconut milk and cooking it down thing seems like a pain in the butt. But it sure tastes great!

Had several in Cane Garden Bay - during Happy Hour, I believe. Two for one special. Yes, they're very, very good, and they go down very easy. Had a hard time getting my legs to work after enjoying four of them. Glad we went back to the cat before dark.... there were about 50 boats moored in the bay, and I'm sure I would have tied up to the wrong one if we didn't.
Stopped at the Pussers in Leverick Bay the day before. Beautiful place. Prefer the BVI much more than the USVI.
Thanks for the reminder of that vacation - and the recipe!
