air purifiers

im looking into an air purifier that will prevent my cigar smoke from wafting upstairs to my tenants apartment.
Not really looking to spend 600 on a rabbit and am looking at the winex 9500 or winex 5500 I was wondering if anyone can recommend a good air purifier under 300 or has experience with these.
