these are good.
I have tried a mix with cajun seasoning, corn meal, salt, peper, red peper and milk. its good on pickels, zuchini, and onion rings.

Thanks man! That sounds kinda like the recipes that I found, but none of them said anythng about dippin sauce, do you eat yours like that? or is ranch involved? I saw them at hooters and I had already ordered, so I didn't add them, but I thought I saw sauces of some kind served with them.

I like them best plain but they're also good with Ranch or Buffalo wing sauce.

I first tried Fried Dill Pickles at teh Cock o' the Walk, Natchez, MS. They used hamburger chips which were coated in a crunchy cover. Attempts to match have included various beer batters, but I found adding a little corn meal seems to help.
Dill's in Traverse City, Michigan uses a dill pickle spear. Although still good, I like the chip style better.
And yes, I like to dredge them through a sauce of some kind.

Hot sauce. I love to throw either cayanne pepper sauce or tabasco on them.
