These LGCs MDO#1s...are they like $400 a box? How much do these go for exactly? I've been seeing the LGCs go for extremely high here in recent months (all same guy or spread out I do not recall) and am very confused.

I think it is because these are not available anymore.  Now that they can't be found people are hacking up the price.  The price is too high in my opinion. I have bought them recently for under $10/stick.  I think people are just cashing in on these and the Tainos. It's a shame they are not selling for a reason. I think anything under $12 is about the market.

Just bought a box of #2's for $300 plus shipping and I am thrilled. Never mind that they would be 300% more here in Canada (as if you could find them) I don't buy cigars here anyway. But they are getting so hard to find. Depending on you talk to, some say they are discontinued, some say not.

With confiscation issues to the USA and potential duties here, you have to decide what you are willing to pay if these are special for you.

Yea I was being a smartass...you can get these for $250-265 reroute included, same box codes.

10 year old MD'O #1s for $250/box?????  Where?  The 1s have been discontinued and are very tough to find. $400/box of 25 is not out of line IMHO.

Yeah I've seen at least 2 private sales going 400 plus... I like the No. 1 but not sure that much..

I've had a few they aren't worth $400 a box at all, IMHO. CoLa's are much better.

I agree that CoLas are much better but where can you get those form '02 for $400?

I have seen 02 5ers of MdO1s go for 115-120 shipped here... so 400 is not a bad price for a box, and these are great smokes IMHO.

I picked up a box of 99s from a private source that are stellar and smoking great for 300 a few months back.  These sticks arrived coated with plume and were not opened for the last 13 years.  One of the nicer looking aged boxes of sticks I have ever received.  I was ecstatic to get these great smokes at that price.

Did you, by chance, take any pictures of these cigars?
