Box of Padron 85 for $140? Really?!

Morning folks:

File this under "if it sounds too good to be true, it probably is..."

I've had a few email exchanges with devilsmoke about his ridiculously cheap Padron 85s, and how he can sell them for 30% UNDER MSRP. He says "we are letting some great deals out to build our credit for olh. Let us know if you would like a box..."

I'm still trying to get more facts. Is he a retailer, and can he vouch for the authenticity of the sticks? So far all I know is he's based in Tucson and has one positive trader comment here.

What do you guys think?

The facebook page looks great. But there is a comment from a guy that looks hilarious...

"I'm curious, Are you guys sell a vanilla cuban cigar? If yes, I like to try to smoke of that cigar."

At cost before the state excise, they are $100 a box. Figure out which state he is selling them out of and there you go. Quite possible if he is out of Pennsylvania, Florida, or Arizona.

Not only does he have abominable taste and is semi-literate, he's also persistent...several comments on the FB page. Hilarious!

If true, he's clearly legit. But how did you make the connection between devilsmoke and Anthony's Cigars?

We have Wade to thank for this incredible site, and apparently the Great Recession too...B&M's must be getting CLOBBERED by this moribund economy, because I can't recall seeing retailers so desperate to unload stock they're selling at considerably less than MSRP. Mind you, I'm not complaining, but it must be tough to be a B&M these days!

I hear ya Pete. So if he is from Arizona then he is still making 30 percent on a box after excise tax and shipping. Not too bad.

I was skeptical as well. Might be worth a shot considering how cheap these are.
