At which national events were these differences noted?

"I have a few VR 5th Anniversario for sale - 1 Clasico, 1 Familiar, and 2 Famosos. (thes:e particular cigars have been sampled at several national herfs and were consistently judged as darker, richer, and sweeter than production VR's) In addition , i am including a 1999 VR Unicos for comparisons sake. $120 shipped. ck/mo"

Great price by the way.

Are these from the Humidor? I didn't know they had the Familiar.

Do you have photo's?

Wow...sold 4 minutes after I posted this!

If you bought these cigars...please PM me.

You are correct, there is no Familiar in the 5th Anniversary Humidor.  I hope the buyer knows what they are getting...

It seems blue updated the sale and said it was actually the Maestro(sp).

That's cool, mistakes happen. Now about the national events.

Funny too how a sale in June of 2010 also listed a 'Familiar'...must be the same mistake.

Just chiming in here as I'm the buyer.

Smoked one of these sticks with Blue at a PPP at last year's Shack Herf, and I have no worries as to their authenticity given that experience combined with the other transactions I've had with him.

I've been fortunate enough to smoke a half dozen or so of these sticks over the past year and a half or so.  As such, I'm comfortable in knowing what I should be getting out of the cigars.  Should they not be as purported, I'm happy to report that experience, but I have little doubt that I'll need to do that.

As for the Familiar/Maestro thing ... I'm just going to chalk that up to human error.  I will say, however, that once he was made aware he had misidentified one of the vitolas, Blue did the following:

1.  PM'd me to inform me of his error

2.  Gave me the opportunity to back out of the deal without prejudice

I thanked him and dropped my check in the mail.

Unfortunately I was not the buyer, but like Vin I have dealt with "Blue" many times and everything is always perfect.
