Still a good idea to report the transaction as fraud to make sure PP knows. They will eventually get multiple reports from everyone here who was scammed. This is something we have to do, it's the only way forward right now.

It's a valid question, I'd like to know as well. I was under the impression that PayPal does not get involved with FF payments (as suggested by the fact that you can't report a problem with FF payments outside of unauthorized transactions).

Are you out of your mind? You repeatedly comment telling people to do this and that and I'm being pushy? You have probably told people to report this to pp and venmo 10 times. I asked how this is supposed to work out for the people involved if they don't want their private information involved and you refuse to answer. Then you wanna say some shit like "I'd like to think you have nothing to do with this scam"...let's not forget who has been here longer than a month and has plenty of feedback. You're acting like a 12 year old trying to solve a playground mystery. Grow up and show some respect.

I said multiple times, I'm not including anyone's info from here. I never asked anyone here to give me their info. I'm just advising everyone who was scammed to report it as fraud with the payment processor, simple as that. Yes, you have been here much longer, and have lots of reputation. But you just seem so against catching this shit bag or taking any action for that matter.... why do you even care this much if you have nothing to do with it? Sure, what I said about you seems crazy but what do you want me to say when you are so negative about the whole situation? You weren't scammed so you don't have anything to do with this. As for your question about his PO box address, if he is using it on his Venmo/Paypal accounts then he is technically using it to commit wire fraud.

Fraud is fraud, no matter how the money is sent.... cash, check, western union, bitcoin, wire transfer, venmo, paypal etc. I'm not saying you will get your money back for sure but it's the only step forward right now.

Actually, it does matter if you used PPFF.  Your situation sucks…it truly does and I feel for you, but this situation (and it’s likely outcome) are similar to many that have gone down here for over a decade….if you don’t believe me, just research this forum and see for yourself.  Similar incidents have been going on since 09/10’…..if PP takes your claim seriously, I’ll buy a lotto ticket.  I would recommend you do some research, going as far back as 2010, to see what others in your situation have done that have been effective. Rather than going in multiple directions hoping for a miracle, research what others have done and see if that better helps you understand what options you have/don’t have.  Wish you the best in resolving this incident as I hate being scammed/seeing folks scammed.
