I just took part in the same group buy.  One of my bundles arrived yesterday, as good as advertised.  The other bundle wasn't able to be picked up due to a shortage. Dallas was up front about it to me and gave me the option of what I wanted done.  He's getting sticks I am unable to get.  Seems like a stand up guy to me and I wouldn't hesitate doing another group buy with him again.

In early February 2015 I joined the group buy posted here. I purchased two bundles of Behike 54 and one bundle Roibana Robusto Extra.
I paid Dallas upfront in full for both, $560 dollars. He sent me PayPal invoices to pay him.

I sent one email to ask how things were going and heard nothing in return.
A few weeks later I received an email that he had just returned from his trip and his computer crashed, but it was now working again. He wanted to let me know that he had my bundle of Behike however he was shorted on my Robusto extra and could only send me 14, I said that’s not a problem, things happen.
That was 12 days ago.
I then emailed Dallas and asked if he had shipped them yet and his response was that they had all been sent out. When I asked about tracking he said that he had them at home and would get them later because he was driving to get a wheel for his car.
I have formally asked Dallas to refund me my $560 in full. PayPal will prove to be useless so my only option is go through my bank, they will view it as fraud, I have the paypal invoices he sent to me stating it was fora n iphone and samsung phone.

Thoguhts on this?

I too got in on this group buy.  Haven't had any issues communicating with Dallas.  Received tracking info the other day and showing that what I ordered is set to arrive tomorrow (3/16).

Alcon,

I received a package this afternoon from Dallas (Ninja), just as he stated a week or so back he would ship my bundle and half of my other bundle. Apart from my own impatience and seeing many negative reviews I chose to not have hope in what Dallas promised me.

For the record I was completely wrong, and my perception was false. In my opinion Dallas provides a high quality product and has been very honorable providing just what I ordered. I have complete confidence that I will receive the remaining cigars after his next trip.

For the record I would order again. My normal response is order a box and they arrive, this item in particular was not off the shelf but custom rolled, I need more patience and perhaps others do as well.

Dallas I apologize for my impatience and haste, your word is honorable and I would ask that you please forgive me of my impatience and hastiness.

Thank you Dallas for the product that you provided to me and the quality of the items look production level.

Damnit, after reading this I'm like a kid on Christmas Eve.  Can't wait til my shipment arrives!

I purchased 2 bundles of Monsdales from Dallas back when he first started doing group buys
The first bundle was hipped 4 weeks (I think) from date of payment and Dallas informed me there was a hold up with the 2nd bundle.
The first bundle arrived as promised and I was happy with the quality of the product.
A month later Dallas contacted me and said he was heading back to Cuba and my sticks were at the top of his list.
A few weeks later Dallas contacted me again saying there was another problem and offered to refund my outstanding payment.
I declined and said I was in no rush and understood that "Cuba is Cuba" and best laid plans only last as long as the airport over there.

Long story short, it took a couple of extra months to get my order completed but all along the way Dallas kept offering me a refund or to exchange the sticks other rolls he had in stock. I declined and was happy to wait for my order, it was easier than flying to Cuba to do it myself

I'd buy from him again. His communication may not be great, but he always gets back to you eventually and patience is key here.

At the end of the day you have three choices
1-Buy from Dallas and wait as long as it takes
2-Don't buy from Dallas
3-Fly yourself to Cuba and try to get them rolled yourself

Got a beautiful bundle today from Dallas.  Ordered awhile ago and basically forgot about them until his email asking for the balance to be paid.  Patience is a virtue grasshoppers.

I think this sums it up in a nutshell, caveat emptor.  I get some of the earlier complaints, but given how long this thread has been around anyone ordering recently should have no misconceptions about delivery timing.

Got mine from a December order. Now I know first hand what to expect in terms of delivery time but they do show up and they smell divine.
