I reached out to nanilla yesterday asking if we could put this to bed, and while I don't know if he will respond here, he did reply to my email saying "I do believe they are real now."
At this point, I don't understand why nanilla hasn't done the 'man' thing and balled up, apologized, and admitted such publicly, here. If he believes they are real, a mea culpa would go a long way to putting this to bed.
I'm glad it has been worked out between you.

Fixt. You know that price is the outlier :) But I can see it now, the winner of the auction calling Mitchell, "Hey bud. I have a funny story for you...It's a hilarious misunderstanding. You know that Sublimes lot? I...thought I was bidding in dollars, not pounds. Can you belie...hello? Mitchell?"
Now that cat is out of the bag, what is this lot btw:
http://www.cigarauctions.co.uk/cohiba-sublimes-p-11251.html
HOLD THE PHONES! You mean there are other boxes out there without the codes on the box? Sold by H&F to Davidoff of London? Nevertheless good enough to pass international auction standards? Stop it! Tobacco analyst nanilla won't let it happen...
I think he's had enough. Certainly, he realizes by now that he is stuck with a very real box of Sublimes.

Re: Beware of Massphatness/Vin
Vinny did the right thing by me.
He refunded my 180.00 when i pointed the following out to him.
I bought a box of Monte Grand Edmundos from him,
listed as ENE 2010, in the same sale as these Sublimes.
6 weeks after they arrived i smoked one.
Then i realized there is no such box code as ENE 2010 for MGE`s.
The 1st box code on these is MAY 2010.
I`m sure he didnt know that, and nobody here picked up on it either
in the sale listing.

Total curiosity, because I love to learn... How do you know there is no ENE 2010 for the MGEs? Only boxed after the festival?

Re: Beware of Massphatness/Vin
Was planning on posting here earlier, but got caught up with stuff. My real only concern was with the stickers, but, as has been said, there are inconsistencies in Cuba especially with 10 year old boxes, boxes going to different markets, etc. This is honestly, the first instance I have ever dealt with something like this, as such I wish I would have handled it better. I should have posted box pictures first, leaving Vin out of it. Either way I cleared this Vin and apologized. Thank you to those who helped.
