I can't help but LOL at people believing that some guy could be selling unlimited quantities of HTF/non-existent cigars that nobody else has, and it took 5 months and many thousands of dollars later before anyone actually caught on to the con. :tears:

Because when I got the single stick, I really didn't look at it. I had nothing vested in it. But when all of this came out, I took a good look at the band, the printed letting over the embossed lettering doesn't line up. It's actually pretty far off.
At the time, he was generating a lot of donations for the site and sent me what appeared to be a very rare stick for nothing. Given all the previous praise, as much as I thought it was odd he had such quantity, I didn't question it.
I owned up to it. I said in this thread earlier somewhere that I feel like a douchebag for calling this guy a BOTL.
I never bought because of doubt and I regret my comments. Believe me, I wish I could remove them.

Thanks for the reply. You have shown great humility. Sometimes very rare from people. We all learned form this.

Right-
"I should have spoken up" when I never had a single transaction with a guy everyone was head over heels in love with. That would have gone over really well with all the TL lovers at the time, wouldn't it? Hell, he still has people that say nice things about TL despite being scammed by him.
Don't be mad at me over a guy that never should have been given the benefit of the doubt selling the kind of stock he claimed to have. This stuff isn't available in these types of quantities anywhere and those who would come across that kind of stuff wouldn't have to come to a B/S/T forum to sell it. At least everyone was offered their money back, so I hope everyone collected.

Re: Triple Ligero sells fake HTF cigars
I saw this coming a while ago but did not want to rain on anyones parade. Ninja seems to have the inside track, Moki's on the outside rail. No ones has unilimited sources and if you did how would you get them out of the country? Most diplomats that I have met didn't get to where they are by lending themselves to a non-for profit transporting operation. A level 2 roller will not mix in his work with a level 9 roller....ever. They are working on different projects. Moki and many others have seen this picture before. All he had to do is hit rewind. BTW I think Moki is more than one person. There has to be about 100 of him to have all that neat info. As always good work! John

Both Dallas and Andrew threw out little hints here and there. They were putting out enough rope for TL to hang himself. ;)
And I know Hutch has balls, I've been to SHIT. ;D

There was lot going on behind the scenes with this one and definitely thanks due to many folks who helped. There are still a couple of loose ends to tie all of this together but I am ready to put tl up for the list at this point.

I bought a fiver of EL's from him, and thanks to all of you guys who had the knowledge and investigative skills to figure this scam out, I am in your debt. TL refunded my money, and I learned a huge lesson. Thank you all ;)
