Got an official Customs seizure letter the other day. I'm officially done buying international. Shipment wasn't guaranteed from an LCDH. So bummed. Sticking to JO only from this point forward.

Been there before and it took me a long time for me to get back on the ordering train again. I stuck with buying state side and JO's for a long time! Then I just said F it and started buying again and rolled the dice, the guaranteed sucks but I chalk it up to the price you have to pay if you want to play. If you have had a lot of good luck over the years, just divide the loss over all that mad it! ;)

Ooof, sorry to hear that brother.  I've been there.  Luckily mine were guaranteed shipping, but still sucks.  I'd say wait a bit and just go through anyone who guarantees and ships through the west coast.  I have had a cornucopia of stuff arrive through CA and no problems.  I also order from the ladies at times but every time I do I hold my breath and pray, because they don't guarantee anymore... I also find stuff here now and then and usually its a great deal and awesome sticks from the real brothers on here.

The ladies never guaranteed in the 12+ years I have been buying from them. Also, I had multiple packages seized in LAX so I wouldn't say that West Coast is any safer.

I've been buying from the ladies since 2001.  They used to guarantee, but it's not been that way for a very long time.  I even have an email from them dated July 7th 2004 where they respond to my notification of a seized box that they made right.  That said I love working with them, so every once in a while I will still order at my own risk.

Seizures can happen in any port, but I was simply stating, as many others have up above that the seizures in NY seem to be at an all time high....

Hopefully this is not off topic however I am curious if any of you have heard that US Customs can revoke your Global Entry status if they confiscate your shipment?  Earlier this year I had a box of LGC Md’O Especials from LCDH Knokke go missing for a long time but fortunately it showed up seven weeks after shipping.  I was hoping not to lose my GE status because it makes international travel more pleasant.

My buddy applied for CLEAR or Global Entry, I can’t remember which, and customs asked him about his seized boxes. He still got clearance but they knew!

Thank you Travis for the information!  I googled the subject and read about it on Reddit but wanted confirmation.  I have difficulty believing info from Reddit.

I know several people who had their global entry revoked because of cigar seizures. TSA precheck/ clear are fine.

Thank you very much for confirming.  Looks like I won’t be ordering any Cubans online.  Thankfully I’m traveling in Europe several months every year.
