What I am saying is just because you got a box of cigars and aged them for 4 years doesn't make them worth anymore. Also, if you were lucky enough to get some of these HTF cigars when they were released, doesn't now make them worth triple the price now.
Really?  You don't think aged cigars are worth more than the original price, ever?  And every HTF/rare cigar sells differently, it's called market price.  It's worth what people will pay.  I wouldn't expect a seller to sell me a nice box of rare/aged cigars at MSRP.

And btw, this forum is far from a "brotherhood", it was created as a marketplace and is treated as such by the majority of the people here.

This is the attitude that gets me. Just because two people smoke cigars and have found this online marketplace does not make them friends, or part of a brotherhood.

People think that just because they join an online forum they're entitled to other folks' things at a discount. That's just silly.

You become part of a brotherhood over time by contributing to a community. A user name and a password does not a brother or friend make.

I personally will gladly pay more for the right aged cigars because they taste better, and to me a better cigar is worth more money. Others pay higher amounts to obtain rare or HTF sticks because they didn't or couldn't do the work necessarily to obtain them at release.
Concur.  Completely.

Depends...when you say box of cigars, well that generalizes the debate. If the "box of cigars" is not currently being produced any longer or if that was a particular good year for the "box of cigars" well then I'm inclined to think they are worth more....and if they're a "box of cigars" currently still in production with some age on them then I'd like to think that carries a little bit of an additional premium assuming that the seller has stored and cared for them for my enjoyment. HTF cigars are worth whatever would be buyer is willing to pay the seller.

Maybe I'm just filled with tons of intollerance lately.

With these recent posts of Sr members trying to talk common sense into the newbie, makes me understand and appreciate those old school forums. Old school as in if you are new, sit down, shut up, pay attention and learn something. Oh, and keep your dumb, uneducated opinions to yourself.

Hi all ISO some Davi #1s from the mid to late 80s, in cardboard or box or hell anything is fine.  I am willing to pay up to 15 UDS per stick as that was the retail price.  Serious offers only.

I don't see why someone would do this. Whats the benefit?
To show that someone would pay that much for that specific product. Their trying to establish an inflated market value. JuSt greed at work.
