1. We dont' create the rules.  Wade does.  So if he wants to reinstate him even if the rules say otherwise, he can do whatever he wants.

2. Asking DD to say why he didn't post under his own name is kinda dumb since he cannot post here, isn't it?
[/quote]

Then maybe he should have followed the rules from the start.  3rd post huh?  You are of to a good start.

Take it offensively if you want.  It wasn't meant to be offensive.  Just letting you know that asking me to ask DD why he did it doesn't make sense.  Obviously he would have told you if he wanted to.  I didn't ask him why and doesn't matter to me why.  His intent was to inform people here of a potential trading issue.

Why should be create special rules for DD?  He broke the rules.  Why don't you just ask him why he didn't have the balls to address this with his own id?

This!!!

I always dislike calling people out and like said above using cloak and dagger methods without any real deal info. He may be a good guy but I am glad Wade followed his rules it is a good example I think.  Especially LE stuff that could seriously harm someone under the right situation. I think if I had info to protect the BOTL as a whole I would post it and take the fallout. At least I hope I would.

I don't think it came across as he was trying to protect us, I think it came across as someone well known with a bone to pick. Now that we know he was well know it seems silly since maybe his friends would have taken his posts serious, so in the end it failed miserably.

Who knows, Wade may let him come back. He did that last year with another member who created a second handle.

Wade and others, I've known Diamondog from another forum for almost two years.  Be it may, it's shocking to me also to see him break a rule.  I also understand some of the BOTL's feelings on a rule is a rule.  And that's one thing I know for sure because of my line of work.

With saying that, Mr.DD has never shown any signs of doing anything wrong.  He is a outstanding BOTL in the other forum we are in.  I don't think that this is a negative alter ego he was trying to portray here.  Simply a mistake on his part with poor judgement on how to handle a situation.  I know the one thing that stands strong with us all, is our word.  None of us are perfect, yet there are rules that help keep us on the right path.  Fellow BOTL, I ask you to think of this as a younger brother that made a mistake.  Do we cut him off or give him another chance to redeem himself.  Based off the response you are getting from everyone he knows.  I would hope at least a consideration of the thought.

Mr. Wade, you don't know me from a pea in peapod.  But I'm asking for forgiveness for my Brother Of The Leaf.  I haven't been questioned in any of my dealings here and I'm a contributer to your wonderful site.  It is your decision what you do.  I just wanted to throw my thoughts on this.  So you will know that some of us will feel that we may be losing a great BOTL off of a terrible mistake he made. Thanks for your time in reading this.

Steve Diamondog is a personal friend.

Take his advice or don't.

I can tell you he likes buying and selling on this site and you should have him here as a distinguished member.

CB.

*modified... info removed for the same reason a second ID was used. Worried about retaliation by offender*
Great coffee, cigars and whiskey. Love them all.

Sooooo.....we will used the term "distinguished" to denote members who are not bound by the rules ? I don't think you've thought this through, CB. :)

To all those who say "DD is a good guy, please reconsider", there are consequences to ones actions. In a place with very few rules, consider the second handle the "golden rule" here.

Allowing someone to be forgiven for breaking the only real rule they had to follow teaches them what??? Doing so sets the examples as what?? At some point people need to be held accountable in a society where everyone thinks they deserve a second chance. Bullshit. Man up. there are other forums...

As an aside, think about this for a moment. I once vouched for someone here as being a good guy. I HERF'd with him, hung out with him and other, they would have vouched for him as well. Wade was kind enough to allow this person back in and that person screwed over a member here badly. I regret that decision to this day. Bottom line is, you may think a person is a good guy, but something made them commit the act that caused them to be banned. A "good guy" would not do that.
