The point being that positive comments do no harm to the seller, nor are they particularly disruptive to the flow of the board, negative comments do and are. [/quote]

Agree 100% they do no harm to the seller.  In fact they help protect and mask them at times when their buddies all jump on saying how great they are.  This is your board Wade and we have know each other a long time.  I agree you should be able to run the board anyway you want, it's yours!  At the same time it does protect to a point people who are looking to make a buck off other people and assists in people setting up shop.  But that point does not change the first one, IT IS YOURS, and you need to do what you think is best.

Cozy:  Sorry, should have made it clear early on I was talking about the BZ.  Doing otherwise would be against the rules here and I wouldn't advocate that.

forgop:  I guess the "different strokes for different folks" idiom would be applicable here.  I view cigars as a hobby and an opportunity to share time with buddies.  To think that everyone shares that view would be extremely naive of me.  It would also be naive of me to think that I can save everyone looking to buy cigars from paying too high of a price.  I'm too new here to be doing that, imo, but on my home board if I did so and somebody thought it was a price they are willing to pay and went ahead with the transaction, I wouldn't lose any sleep.  I did what I could and that's enough for me.

I'm not advocating that anyone go out and resell cigars just to make a buck here or anywhere.  All I'm saying is it just gets old listening to the crying over someone's price they've listed on some cigars.

Japan is facing a crisis on a number of fronts, we're engaged in 3 different conflicts around the middle east, lots of people are still out of jobs and their homes, we're $14.2T in national debt, and some states are facing major economic issues, but some people would rather get in an uproar over what someone is trying to get out of a box of Pete Johnson cigars.

It's time for a

Kind of like when someone complains about someone else complaining? Yeah, I know what you mean....

I wouldn't be complaining about something if I felt like people would just quit practicing their self righteous price policing.

If someone came here and asked others if $x was too much from a post on the B/S/T board and asked for feedback of others, fine.  People could respond with what they've seen the same go for in the past or maybe where they could get it cheaper.  I just think the whole "gouger" hate is just over the top.

Your only two posts at CP were complaining about price.  Why didn't you follow your own advice there?

They weren't complaints about a price, but just commenting that the price listed in a posted retailer special wasn't what was showing up in my shopping cart.  Hardly "complaining about price" in my opinion.
