Also - note that the text that is published on my site is not the text that the OP posted.

Also note that you're a liar. Not only did you admit to changing the words on that CCL forum, I looked on your site BEFORE you changed the wording and it was exactly what the OP quoted. I would say it's impossible to write word for word what was written on both the original review and what was said in your review without some form of copying going on. It's clear to me you liked that wording and used it for your own, mixing in your own comments and obviously extending the review. Then you come here and say none of the wording is the same???
Nice... Why try to hide it if you honestly feel you did nothing wrong?

Never thought such a sh!t storm would arise out of suckass cigars. If hate to think what woul have come out of this if this was over something like an Opus or something.

Well, I guess since my name is getting thrown around, might as well jump in head first : ) Got quite a few emails from people saying that I should find out whats being said. Steve contacted me on FB after I had posted my link, when confronted with the fact that the format, content, pictures and overall perception of the cigar was different - he has not yet responded to me.
I have been running my site right a little over 3 1/2 years and this is the very first time I have ever been accused of anything like this. I have been commended time and time again for new, exciting and never before seen reviews, news and contests. Why - after all that time AND after writing a full review ( double the size of his, so I couldn't have copied what he didn't create ) would I hock 2 sentences from someone else? Also - note that the text that is published on my site is not the text that the OP posted.
Also - the crap about the military and all the things he did/does - that is very good, nothing wrong with commending him for getting cigars but as much as I hate to say it - there are a lot more important things in the world than cigars. I was tipped off to the CCL on facebook after talking with a buddy about my tours in Iraq (2003-2007 ) with the Marine Corps and my interest in cigars. Instead of organizing cigar give aways and herfs, I was in the middle of doing my job while over seas, but have been active since I have returned home.
Here is my last message to Steve after he told me his intentions were to have my ISP pull down my site ( can't do it, legally nothing was breached ), cause my sponsors to pull their advertising ( good try, close business friends with my 2 advertisers ) or to have people stop going to my site. Still have not heard back from him. . .
"All I am saying - I am sorry you feel that I ripped off your work, but I did not. I am sorry you feel the need to slander and defame my name but the fact of the matter, even if no one came to my site, I would continue to do this for the same reason I started my site - because I like it.
To end this message - another quote from a rant of mine.
"Never once have I tried to use this side project, a cigar review website as a way to explain to others my existence as something more than just a nut stain that almost missed the target, the Marine Corps already corrected my self esteem."
Semper Fi,
David
