This is probably the best thread I have ever read on any cigar forum. You guys are fantastic! The battle zone is a great idea. As usual, Thanks Wade!

I've never had anything but great dealings w/ MG.  I know this flys in the face of a lot of folks here apparently, but he's always given me a fair deal.  That said, I've always come to him when he lists something...it's not as if he is begged me to buy anything.  I'm pretty sure if you knew this fella you'd know that he is a great guy.  I've never had faster payment, shipment, etc from this guy and he's always been great at comm as well.  Some of you....some of whom feel that this is Wal-Mart..or have a sense of entitlement...won't like me very much either as I just unloaded most of my Cohibas for what I paid or less when you consider shipping, pp fees, etc.

It'd be nice to see folks (especially on this thread) at least support the site before throwing stones.  The originator of this thread is a stand up guy who I have a lot of respect for...but some of the pile ons are a tad out of line I think coming from a few here.  I think 20 friggen bucks buy's you a bronze quarter here, and many proceed to buy and sell on this site that Wade created w/out given any donation at all to the man.

Hey..it's your business and do what you will, but you might want to make sure your own house is in order before questioning folks integrity.  Those of you that know me know that if you are a friend of mine...my humidor is your humidor.  -Ryan

this is pretty funny....apparently knucky still has his wires crossed and thinks I am someone else....pretty sure hes got me crossed with a different person.  Fairly certain I remember the username of that fella as well...

The whole thing about me making many $5 reductions on loads of "sale" smokes is pretty funny.  Funny also are the comments about me selling stuff because I was "getting out of the hobby" or that I was buying/asking to buy high end smokes at the same time.  Funny as in rather strange because posts like that are not ones I have ever made.....here or anywhere else.  If you can find a post I made about selling because of quitting the hobby, (here or another board) please post a link to back up the claims made....

I have no evidence as far as 'truth' claims go in this dispute.

I will say, however, as a Cal grad, do not use that avatar and behave like a douche. If you have sold sale boxes... Stop. If you haven't, let this shit roll off your back.

And if you know anything about this fine.  If you don't know crap about the subject line. we don't need your defence of Cal.  That is another board.

Whatever GUY. Your use of the royal 'we' is quite charming, if not moronic.

My Cal comment is fine ya jamoke. Where else on this site can I make such a comment?  It is annoying to see a Cal avatar associated with sketchy behavior. My comment was mainly for Master Gates. Not for your silly ass.

So what is the so called sale box?
Please elaborate on your comment please.

The people who complain about pricing of cc's are usually made by those who are too chicken to order the cigars themselves.  They're the guys who think they should do box splits with someone else willing to have them delivered at actual cost.  Then when said shipment gets seized, they'll sit to side and let the other guy eat the entire fine should one be received as though they have no responsibility to help.

It's quite simple-if you don't like a price of something listed, don't buy it.  It's as simple as that.

It is curious to note how many times that 5ers & boxes of 1999-2001 ISOMs get listed for sale. Not that all such listings contain bad cigars, and not that I haven't, knowing the risk, responded and made a purchase of high-risk-of-being-plugged cigars; I have, because I wanted to see and learn for myself as I wasn't in the hobby during the vendor's selloff (2007-2008?), but I still didn't want to completely miss out on the fun.

Another interesting concept from the box sale...there were some freebie boxes given away I believe if you spent $250 or more.

I had a buddy that I sold a couple of boxes to for like $50 ea.  I guess I really "screwed" him if I technically got them for "free", right?
