This today from Hizzonor Bloomberg:

““But we live in a complex world where you’re going to have to have a level of security greater than you did back in the olden days, if you will. And our laws and our interpretation of the Constitution, I think, have to change.....It really says something bad about us that we have to do it. But our obligation first and foremost is to keep our kids safe in the schools; first and foremost, to keep you safe if you go to a sporting event; first and foremost is to keep you safe if you walk down the streets or go into our parks,” he said. “We cannot let the terrorists put us in a situation where we can’t do those things. And the ways to do that is to provide what we think is an appropriate level of protection.”

This from Benjamin Franklin 1775:

They that can give up essential liberty to obtain a little temporary safety, deserve neither liberty nor safety.

Hey Bloomy, I've got a novel idea, secure the borders  :finger:

Forfeiture of civil liberties is always projected to the public as 'For the common good'. Yet, things that happen AFTER liberty has been taken are neither common nor good.

There really is no way t stop becoming a police state. Too many people are willing to let talking heads, tv , and money hungry politicians to do their thinking for them.

This is nothing compared to the house to house raids in New Orleans after the flood.  That was the worst constitutional offense I have ever seen. Taking weapons from law abiding Americans when they needed to protect themselves against thieves and scumbags was a blatant disregard for our constitution.  If one of those citizens would have fought back, I would have called him a hero.

I would like to know what would have happened if someone dare ignore the communist inspired martial law.

American liberty and freedom is in serious jeopardy IMHO.

Slowly but surely, anti-US interests are using our own government to topple us. Our country is but a shadow of it's former self. What are YOU going to do?
