Scott,
Correct me if I'm wrong, in order for participates on this site to even have a form to participate on, they require sellers who make enough profit to cover their cost, plus have additional funds to donate, in order to keep the site functional for all? Sounds like on the surface, a very symbiotic relationship to me.
Never, not once lied about a price I paid for a box of anything. Not once.
No question Brad is a good man, it's one of the reason I didn't resort to calling him names.
Never equate donations with honesty, look at our political system and how it operates.

Donations are for people that sell, not participate. See the below from the sites owner Wade. Bottom line you are selling a lot and making nice profits , your choice. Most dont have an issue with prices but you will outcast yourself, and most wont deal with you, again their choice to say or do as they want, like you are doing. The lying about what you pay vs sell for is what burns many, myself included. Basically dont piss on me and say it's raining. Brad, is a good friend and a great man and a true BOTL.
"Donations...
I’d really like to see the folks selling over $1000 a month here in any month to donate around 4%. Obviously any other donations will be accepted. Look for the spinning quarters. These are the folks that are supporting the site
.
Thanks
Wade
PS: One other thing about donations. The fact that someone has donated to the site means little to nothing about his honesty. If people didn't know that before they should after the TL episode."

Non of this is gouging in the strictest sense as cigars are luxury items not necessities. That said, in answer to the OP question, your overpaying does not justify the next person overcharging and vice versa IMHO and many others here. You can call it whining, bitching, whatever, but while you have the right to be opportunistic and make a profit off of your hobby, others also have the right to point it out and call it what it is. For me, and others in the cigar community, it is truly a hobby, buy what we want to smoke and leave the rest for others to do the same. If I end up selling something off, its because I don't want or need it anymore or want something else instead, its not to have others pay for my hobby. Profiteering makes you a retailer, not a hobbiest, which is obviously a sore point for many in the cigar community. There is a clear difference between covering your cost and taking advantage. This is all IMHO of course.

You sound really new, and like a person I'd never share a cigar with.

Fuente Fan, I was educated that Wade operates this forum, in part, by donations. Seeing how "far you have gotten here" with your name calling & hundreds of post, might it be time to donate?

So you had to be educated as to the operation of this forum. Some of us have been around here before Wade even owned the board. We can tell you all the history and how it operates. One question for you and the carp, have you seen me sell ANYTHING on this board? There is your answer.

All I said was touché . Just bustin' balls. Recently I bought 2 HTF items from this gentleman, and I believe I got a very good deal. W.Curtis Draper 125th Fuentes 170. That's about 10 bucks more than I paid for the 125th Padron's. 5- UF-13's for $100. Great price for me, considering my B&M has them for 15.50. That's if your there for the 5 seconds they have them.i believe people have a right to say what they feel. Although, where I'm from, if I'm gonna call someone a douchebag, I'd do it to there face. The name calling is kinda juvenile. I think we can have a disagreement without resorting to that kinda behavior. That being said, it's just my opinion. God Bless us all. Enjoy you smokes.
