Did I say that or are you just assuming???  What I meant is if someone has not been here much posting or trading I take what they say with a grain of salt.  Without any track history I don't know if this is your first turn around the block or if you are a vet.  In any case, until I know I would not put a lot of stock into your comments.  Just how I am.

My comment about you having 1 trader comment had to do with Blue.  You come in defending people's tactics that seem to just be making a buck and then when I look at your trader's comments you have just one........with Blue.

Now the deals you say you made with him were not bad at all.  Hard to understand how you get from those good deals to some of the ones he has posted this week.
Some of his deals are high, some aren't. I won't buy the higher ones but when he does put a good one out, I will consider it. I never met blue and never dealt with him before coming to this site. If you really want to see what he has sold and for how much, just check his post history in his profile.

I don't necessarily condone someone overcharging as in I don't think it is the right thing to do just for the sake of making money but I also don't damn them for it. I believe if someone truly charges way too much for a product people just won't buy it.

If you complete your end of the deal you should  be given feedback....there is something to be said for buyers who are serious and pay promptly imo...
I always pay within the hour if it is a paypal payment and I will inform the person I am trading with when I will send my end out. IMO, communication is very important. I have never asked for feedback after a transaction because I believe it is bad form. If they feel like giving me their time to type up a quick blurb about how our deal went then I appreciate it but I never expect it.

Issues...

You buy a box of LEs/Single-Store Releases for no other reason than to turn a quick profit, I think that sucks.  People who wanted to SMOKE the cigars and enjoy them didn't get a shot at them because you wanted to make a quick buck.

I have NO issue with people moving stock, making money, selling, trading, etc etc etc.  But when a guy comes in a week after a LE is released selling them for DOUBLE the purchase cost, that is the gouging I am talking about, and I think it sucks.  You are basically shitting on my hobby and taking advantage of the situation.

However, retailers are catching on, limiting amounts, etc etc.  Which I think is great.
Don't get me wrong, when someone sells something for way more than it is worth I still think it sucks and I don't think twice about passing it up. Some B&Ms and online dealers also take advantage of early releases and LEs. I know of one in town that will hold onto their stock of LEs until they are pretty sure no one has any left before they throw them on the shelves for a premium and I treat them the same way I would treat someone overcharging on this site; I will ignore that sale.

I believe the best way to deal with someone who charges too much is to ignore their sale. If everyone did that then no one would ever get away with it.

It is the person that doesn't do their due-diligence that allows people to over-charge and get away with it or the person that feels it is worth it to get the LE or the latest and greatest and if someone is that dumb well, a fool and his money are soon parted. It is not my place to govern either side of that deal...

This whole conversation has gotten me a little flustered and offended when in all reality, there is no reason to be so. This is an internet forum and there is a very good chance that I will never meet many of you. I am by nature, a forum lurker. Even on the forums I have frequented over the years I don't post much. After this post unless I am directly referenced, I will leave this thread alone and go back to my lurking ways.

If I have offended anyone, my apologies.

I agree, I would never ask for feed back to be posted either but because these boards as evident in the multiple threads about trust, newbies etc...I think its bad form NOT to help a brother establish and build their rep and maintain their rep if you have completed your end properly...

I have had about a dozen or so transactions and havent gotten a single piece of feedback. Granted I was the purchaser in all occasins but does my promt payment and communication count for anything. lately I have been asking that people leave some feedback and dont see anything wrong with reminding people to leave feedback. (obviously if the transaction goes bad you wouldnt ask)

Everyone needs to remember that there will always be people who are here for one reason....to make money. They could care less about our hobby or being a BOTL. There only purpose is to maximize their profits.

People like this could care less what you and I think about them, they are laughing at us when we complain about the way they do business. They will always try and get the hottest cigars so they can sell them at the highest prices.

There is only one way do deal with these people. They need to be shunned from the community and treated like PARIAH. We need to educate everyone on what prices should be. We need to help newbies who show they are here for the right reasons get good sources. We need to out these gougers every time they post a sale and tell everyone what the going price should be on a particular cigar.

We have run off so many gougers over the years at CF that we became pretty good at it. If everyone works together, we can get rid of them.

No, he wouldn't.  Neither would I.  His point is that that is perfectly ok according to the rules of this forum.

I totally agree.  Now, I have no issue with people charging a higher price than what they paid, provided they actually went to the effort to hold on and care for the cigars for an extended period of time.

And sure, the remember there is no rule about arguing price in the TSBC now that you cannot reply to threads that others post.  But the Battle Zone has no such rule....so some might not like people calling out others on price....but it is not against the rules.

And I don't think anyone posting in this thread would.  The people who actually care are the ones posting here.

So with that, I will be drinking a lot of scotch and enjoying my Izzy White Horse.  Looks like my patio is on fire with the amount of smoke this thing is putting off.  Soooooo gooooood.....

There in lies the problem. There is no rule on pricing so why all the chatter?

PM Wade or post a thread aksing who's in favor and maybe he'll add a rule.

Again, all my opinion...  but when I see people buying cigars not to smoke, but to make a quick buck, it pisses me off.
