I can see the questions now:
"Are you serious with those prices!?"
"Have you no shame?"
"Why do your cigars have mold on them?"
Etc., etc.

When replies were allowed, it really wasn't that bad. You'd get the occasional jackass price policing but those people would get suspended/banned for the rule violation and learned to just shut up in the B/S/T threads over that stuff and brought it to the BZ to cry about prices, flipping, etc.
What I think would provide more valuable is someone being able to say "those bands have fingerprints all over them-are you sure those aren't re-glued bands from regular production Lusis?", "those stickers on that box don't look quite right", "Esplendidos don't come in a limited edition glass top", etc...stuff that draws question into the legitimacy of a sale and allow everyone to take a deep breath before sending the funds. Some people on here buy like they're knocking people over in WalMart going after a door buster and it's no wonder how a scammer could easily pull in $20k in less than 3 days if they advertised the right cigars/booze at a good price.

Mail fraud is mail fraud no matter if you use a postal money order or pp.

Actually I believe a pp scam would be wire fraud.
Tend to agree that were there the ability to reasonably comment on questionable offerings it would benefit the community. Unfortunately I expect this would lead to a lot of crap regardless of the rules....

But when there is intent to delivery a product through the postal service, I don't think it matters what payment method you use.

This place is like the EVE Online of cigars.
As an aside, it's predictable that frequent sellers will be the ones who say "it's fine as it is." I don't have a dog in the fight, just an observation.
In the end, for high-dollar / too-good-to-be-true stuff, what it needs in theory is an escrow/trusted intermediary mechanism.
That's PP in the outside world, but some folks here are saying PP is buyer biased.
What's really happening is that those boxes are going for enough money that getting burned stings pretty bad, but not enough that anyone (buyers or sellers) will bear the cost of an escrow arrangement, possibly from someone unimpeachable in the community.

Here's an idea: why not require a seller to list each item with a photo that includes the seller's username and a date?

Could always just require that sellers deliver what they advertise and what people pay for. Or would that just be too humane?
Guess we cant expect everybody to be decent, especially crooked punk ass cocksuckers like Pauile's bitch ass. We know it was you, pussy.
