So...if I donate just a tad more I will have the ability to delete my drunken rants from time to time? Save myself from the walk of shame?

Incoming!

Those will be evaluated on a case by case basis, and priced accordingly  :cal:

I always delete my posts when done. Never know when a certain governmental agency decides to see who sells a lot and decides to make an example of him. Sorry but that's more important to me than your curiosity.

I never thought of it that way Mike, that makes perfect sense. To be fair if they were monitoring the site for this reason it would be a scripted thing not an actual person logging in every once and a while and scrolling back to look at old messages but that seems fair. It always just seems as though people are doing it to hide something, sure most of them aren't but it feels that way sometimes. Especially because it really seems as though at least a few in the price police are just as guilty as the people they are complaining about.

Sorry that went off topic a bit. The other thing that makes perfect sense is turning the whole message into done to avoid getting a bunch of harassing messages asking if you have anymore, doesn't say anything about people who just replace the price with the word done.

The way that it should work is that after 120 minutes the post cannot be modified.

In looking into the permissions some groups had permission to delete their posts and others did not.

Gold and higher supporters can delete their own topics.  My thought on this is that if someone is posting and selling enough to warrant donations of over $100 then it is probably in the interest of their sanity and board clutter to allow them to clean things up.

You mean like TTT?  So then they can cover their tracks.  Interesting.

Absolutely no one has even been pursued by the government for what that sold here. That would be big news! So that concern seems moot. However, if Wade is deleting every 30 days then my goal is also partially moot.

Still i'd rather have 30 days of info then none…

Whats with all the threads that say "Done" and have all the details erased.

I rely on past threads to understand the value of smokes. Sellers should not be allowed to erase their for sale threads.

Folks here want to go by whatever price they can get - well, not ALL folks here - so why would they leave a trace of a discount? ;)

That's one thing I never understood...why delete any of these? I mean edit with strike-out and an explanation will work...and you save the data.

I don't follow this much cause I don't rely on past sale prices to determine what I will or won't pay for something.

However, if I were to want to have a data bank of past sales for future reference then I would just make a spreadsheet and add to it the sticks I am interested in and what they were sold for. I could add as many fields into this spreadsheet as I wanted such as who sold it, who bought it, when, how much etc.

Then as these sticks appeared on the site I could just add the information (even cut and paste) easily into the spreadsheet and I have it at my fingertips without having to wade through pages of past sales looking for relevant information.

Adding new sticks to the sheet would be simple and all this information would be custom made for my tastes or desires in what I am smoking, have smoked in the past or am looking to smoke in the future. It really is that simple.

I think guy's looking for the threads to stay up are just looking for an easy way to track things and they have convinced themselves that these threads are the way to go. A personal spreadsheet is easy to set up. easy to maintain and will give you information which is relevant to you personally.

OK, here is how I have saved previous sale threads of interest. Copy the thread content you want to save.
Go to your outbox, select any message and click reply, erase and replace subject or title or whatever it is and write in what you want, ie; Hollywoods monster prices  :nana:, paste the thread content you want to save in message area, hit send and it sends it to yourself. Add a folder in your messages and keep them there.

Crude yes, but then it is all here and easily retrievable.
