RAG from 2001
This was a change for me ans I generaly stick to corona and smaller cigar. Construction was good except a small crach on the foot. cutter sailed right through this one without any trouble. pre-light draw was a bit loose but not bad. not soft spots or lumps.
First few puffs were a nutty (walnut and almond mix) with a creamy taste as well. after about a inch in the nutty flavor changed some what with more of a creamyness. at about 4 inches in a kinda herbal (basilish) was just beginning to be tasted along with the other flavors stayed this way until the end, never really strong enough for me to discern what the taste was.
I really liked this one, a good 9.54 loks of good flavor and complexity with this mild to medium smoke.

VSG Enchantment
Good looking and smelling. Cutter went through this like a hot knife through butter. thats where the good parts ended.
pre-light draw was very tight, very firm feel to this cigar. it took a long time to get it to light and stay burning. then I never could keep a straight burn even with many touchups. draw was horible, i could get hardly any smoke through it. Will try some of these again just not for a while.

El Rey del Mundo Tainos of unknown vintage.
appearance was good, light brown wrapper with a few small veins. Band was very fadded. Cut was clean and easy. pre-light draw was good, thought this was going to give me trouble becasue it felt a bit overfilled.
first taste were a floural honey taste :) this sweet taste dominated the the rest of the way with other subtle flavors peaking through. I picked up the taste of ceadar, coffee, light spice and cream off and on after about the first 1/2 inch. smoke out put was a bit low but in enough quanity for me to get good tastes of this fine cigar. Strength was on the light side of medium, good relax smoke.
total score for this one is a 9.37 due to the quanity of smoke, but this had to be the most complex cigarI have yet smoked. I just wish I had a few more.

Fonseca Cosacos
Nice white wrapper that went you in flames quickly. burned very fast andh had to drop it.
Just joking I took off the rice paper just wanted to see if anyone actually reads what I write.
Construction was spot on, nice smooth light brown wrapper with just a few small veins. not very oily but not dry either. Cut was perfect. Pre-light draw was fine with a bit of coffee taste. I was drinking coffee at the time so that had some influence on this one.
first few puffs were a nice creamy expreso taste. LOTS of smoke poured from this beauty. The flavors stayed a coffee, cream and expresso till the very end. strength was on the light side of medium. Never got harse or lost any of the volums of smoke. Ash was a nice light grey with loads of little white specs.
Not an overly complex smoke and probably a bit underfilled, but I really enjoyed this one. I give it an overall rating of 9.125 and will defenitly stock my humidor with some more of these. I would recomend this for a nice relaxing morning or a late night cap off the day smoke. Goes great with a nice mediun bodies coffee.

Johnny-O custom rolled PC
Nice looking shiny brown wrapper. a few veins just noticible. No soft or hard spots felt, good solid weight.
prelight draw was fine, and tasted of a woody flavor, but not ceadar.
first few puffs were of the woody taste with some underlying spice, reminded me of sweat and sour sauce (not the actual taste just the general idea of the mix). after a few more puffs I was able to distinguish the woody taste as being that of Balsa wood, the spice was not peppery but more subtle, like cilantro-ish. at about the half way mark the taste changed to more lof a light basil. Lots of smoke poured out olmost as if thsi one was underfilled, but it was not.
overall a good smoke, could use a bit more aging to bring out the potential. I give this one a 8.8.
