The seller refuses to refund now. Yes, I should have accepted Aaron's offer right away, but the thing is, I really wanted these cigars, and had never seen them before so let Aaron's awesome TCs sway me into keeping them.
Things changed after I smoked one, and really changed after I got to smoke a real one. Aaron's are not authentic.
I got sold fake Montecristo Sublimes, and was asked by the seller

Okay, its clear now that Aaron will not be sending me a refund. He asked for proof, and I beleive I provided that.
When I have all 9 again, these will be going for sale on the TSBC.
I will fully disclose what I beleive I have, and where they came from. I will offer them at half the going rate, and hope that someone who still trusts Aaron will want these.

Oh, and thanks to everyone who took the time to post a reply. This is the only bad deal I've received here, and look forward to many, many more good purchases here for a long time to come.

A couple things...
Mike, will they be listed as fakes in the TSBC ? I don't think its right to resell these at all. I realize that you have been sold potentially fake cigars, but to turn around and relist them and try to stick someone else with them is not right either... and 2 wrongs don't make a right. Now, if you are going to relist them in the TSBC, be sure to list them as fakes, and point to this thread in the sale as a reference. Just know that you won't get much for them, especially since "they look bad, taste bad, smell bad..." as described by yourself here.
I still feel that Aaron needs to make this right, even if he only agrees to refund you for the remaining sticks and I personally feel that you have done enough to prove that these are fake. If I were the seller, I would have had no problem with you shipping the sticks to your buddy to examine, especially since you have never seen or smoked these before, and your buddy has smoked several and had some in his humidor... anything you did should not void any implied warranty, and a full or partial refund here is just the right thing to do.

I would love to see pics also. This information brings into question Mike's entire case based on the band theory.
From all the posts I've read I still have not seen any PROOF. Let's wait till more pictures get posted of the rest of the box.
Btw, in case anybody miss it in my first post my source is our friend out of HK.
If these are fake that should scare the hell out of about 60% of the community

FWIW I have seen the old bands used on 2008 Montecristo boxes. I'm sure people can post pictures of this. Usually this happens from provincial factories with left over bands. I haven't seen it on Sublimes so I can't speak to that specific cigar. I'm not a big Monte smoker but I'm sure others who are can chime in. I'm just saying the old bands were still being used in 2008.

As I said, there will be full disclosure, and if anything, I would under sell these counterfeit cigars. I would never stick anyone, for anything.
If there are buyers who trust Aaron, and these cigars, they should be happy to receive them at such a discounted price. If they don't sell, I'll try another, and if smokeable, they will be golf course cigars, if not, they will be tossed.

I completely missed that in your post Aaron... sorry. I think that source in HK is a known grey market vendor, but fakes have never been an issue with that vendor either. Alot of people I know have used that said vendor, and if these are truly fake, this will be scary for a lot of those folks.

Not my entire case. I smoked one of your fakes, and a real one only a couple of days apart. They are not the same cigars.

Re: I got sold fake Montecristo Sublimes, and was asked by the seller
Mike, you entire case is bad bands and bad taste. The bands are not bad (although I'd like to see more picutures) and taste is very subjective.
Now I do believe that you don't like these and that they might not be good in taste however taste is subjective. If you are expecting consistancy from one box of CC to the next then you will be forever disappointed.
How about you post all the pictures you agreed to, and we wait for some other members to post pictues of other Monte 08 ELs.
In the mean time we can split the cost of one of these and you can cut it open and you can post pics. If these are as bad as you say I'd expect to see short filler. Let me know.
Also has any other memebers heard about these cigars being faked? If so please post pics and info.
