I'm interested in your opinion.  Could your opinion be proof?  Of course not, but again, it would be more information for me, and I welcome all information.

So what exactly would be "proof" to you?  Just curious...

You clearly skipped out on your helping of humble pie this Thanksgiving. You come across as an arrogant know it all, yet with very little to substantiate the latter....and plenty of the former within this very thread.

Your choice of title of this thread alone speaks volumes. Particularly due to what you've chosen to use as your so-called "proof".

Yes, as noted much earlier, my choice of words in the thread title was unfortunate, and a mistake on my part.  I am not usually arrogant, and if some of my responses have been so, then that was not the intent.  I've simply made an effort to consistently and calmly respond.

Please see one post above yours.  I can only answer honestly, and that is it.

Agreed, good question.  Not sure at this point.  As stated too many times.  I smoked one, and thought something was wrong.  I smoked a real one 2 days later, and found them to be different cigars.  Further research showed the incorrect bands.

If Moki's opinion is that these are authentic, and I find other Sublimes with bands discontinued 2 years earler, I would certainley have to reevalute my current opinion.

So in one breath you say you are no expert and in the next you say you don't trust anyone else's palate.  Even an established member.  IF Moki finds they are AND I find other old bands MAYBE I will reevalute.

What a piece of work you are!  No offense but I would never waste my time selling you anything.

I received the cigars today; I took some pictures and made some observations, but no conclusions yet.  Please see the posting here:

I will add more to it, including my conclusions and opinions, after I have looked at them a bit more, and smoked one of the cigars.

"Let's see.  I built my business, sold it, and retired 2 yrs ago.  Spend most of my time with my family, traveling the world, playing golf, driving exotic cars, smoking great cigars, collecting fine watches etc."

Wow, another internet millionare who collects watches..priceless..

A donation to the site is worth the comic value alone.  :nana: :nana: :nana:

You posit that everybody wastes their time on these kind of threads and here you are, contributing just short of nothing buy fruitless attempts at comic relief. Your hypocrisy knows no bounds. Now THAT is funny, the hypocrisy I mean.

As far as Mike goes, it is my belief that while he may have made an unfortunate misstep or two regarding choice of words, but I don't see him trying to hurt anybody or the board. It IS the priciple of the thing. I believe that if he didn't post in response to posts, he would be chastised for that too. In other words, damned if he does and damned if he doesn't.

I am not taking a side other than saying, some people have too much time on their hands and it shows. Does anybody think about what their posts will contribute. I learned the hard way that the BZ is not a place to spray and ask questions later. I have since kept my head down, done my deals quickly and fairly, and contributed a post that I thought benefited the board while letting the crew decide.

Finally, Mike should not be denigrated for his success, hobbies, and obvious philanthropy. Furthermore, I have hovered on another site and he is a great husband, father, and guy. Nobody's business, but I have been labeled on another site from ppl that thought they knew me and didn't. The people who have been lucky enough to deal with Mike will deal with him in the future and while his money is green, his feet are made of clay and he bleeds blood like everybody else.

I also think there is value in Kyle's post. I bet the person who learns and acts differently is Mike.

I only hope everybody won't be judged by their success or a bad choice of words when he probably honestly felt he had gotten ripped off. His subsequent posts show the kind of guy Mike is.

Ok, back to our regularly scheduled program......

Mike's character is not the issue here (nor is it really germane to the discussion).
