For me I'd rather chalk it up to a great learning experience (most cigar enthusiasts have bought fakes - usually early in their endeavors).[/quote]

I would too.

Well said JC.  At one time or another everyone who's been "in the game" has gotten taken.  There is no shame in that, but learn from your mistakes.  Hell I've dropped big coin on boxes of rarites, like Cabinettas. P150, etc but I guaran damn tee you I knew where they came from, how they were stored, etc b4 even considering it.  It's all about provenance, I won't even say trust your source, hell people "trusted" this con artist.  More like be skeptical and make someone prove they aren't fakes.

I mean seriously nobody has access to unlimited stock of pre release cigars, common sense tells you that.

So they're farm cigars, they sound like they smoke ok, and thats not the worst thing in the world.  What's unreasonable is paying 50+ clams for that shit you can get made for 8 bucks, give or take on the island.

What's amazing is how 3-4 months ago this clown has a newbie intro post and just starts selling all this "amazing" shit in quantity too, and nobody even questions that they're fakes?  Hard to believe honestly.

I don't know.  Standing up for someone is admirable.  Little disappointed in Sigsauer (whom I still consider friend) how he said CF was nothing more than a website and how he kinda dissed friends he's made at CF over 10+ years for just asking questions.  One thing about moki & Ninja they just were looking for facts and being pretty darn "gentlemenly"  but how you can stand-up for a guy you've never met, known for 4 months through an internet site and tell folks you know have very good (at minimum) cigar knowledge/experience that they have "no clue" is really kinda mind boggling.

People handle things differently and i certainly understand how someone who's popped big bucks into something non-authentic cant bring themselves to see the forest through the trees.  For me I'd rather chalk it up to a great learning experience (most cigar enthusiasts have bought fakes - usually early in their endeavors).

A few things to take from this if you buy cigars.

(1) If someone is "chummy" but never herfed with anyone from your cigar board and sells tons of stuff.  They aren't in it to help bruddahs.  They're in it for something else.

(2) If someone has access to unreleased in "unlimited" quantity it's a red flag.

(3)  Someone who is a celebrity/super wealthy isn't going to waste time sending out 100's of cigars to "website enthusiasts"  They may at best hand out a bunch free at an event or to friends.  but not take the time to package up 100's of cigar packages to send to folks on websites they've never met.

(4) It's like religion, if it doesn't encourage you to "seek truth" or or challenge it's authenticity, run.

People want to believe they are getting an extraordinarily good deal and that shit is legit because the seller is a "nice guy".  Even when ALL the facts point to it being a huge con, people are still backing him/purchasing from him.
