I'm not breaking any news here but received some of John's EL Sig VI last night. Smoked one this afternoon.

I thoroughly enjoyed it. Good is good at the end of the day!

If you haven’t tried an EL 55th from John then you are missing out on an amazing earthy full flavor explosion. With. A few years they will be perfect

...weird, thought they were good, but lacked a "full" flavor.....

Yes, I'm gonna let them sit, and I'll report back next year.....

Recently bought a combined bundle of EL Sig IVs and EL Lanceros from John.  Fantastic cigars, I've already gone through half of them.  What spurred the purchase was some aged EL Robustos I picked up on the forum, and they had every bit of the earthy, vanilla profile an aged CoRo has.  Snapped me right back to 2008.  I don't know how he does it, but he does it.

Are the 55ths that you are smoking from recent, or when they first started rolling them? Say last fall? Serious question, I’m curious

when JO first rolled out his 55s man they were powerhouse cigars...sampled one from the first go last week and it has smoothed out...still got the juice but no hard edges at all...great smoke. MB

Yep, that’s why I asked. I smoked through my first bundle pretty fast. Definitely a powerhouse. They are much more rounded cigar now. Glorious wrappers on them. It’s a fantastic cigar, smoked quite a few. Lots of flavor and complexity. But really everything from John’s EL stuff is fire. Pretty much all I smoke nowadays.

Sand... bought them 3-4 months ago.  But then again, these are really first ones I've had.
Guess I was expecting since fresh cigar that it would be at its "fullest/strongest" before aging....  I liked them, I'm gonna wait about 5-6 months and try again, then another 6 months and try again.  But thats what I do with every box of sticks anyway to get an idea of how they do aging.
