Wait, I'm the curmudgeon and you're gonna try to hit me with the "hip-hop isn't music" argument? I'm assuming some of your favorite sayings are "you damn kids, get off my lawn," "these damn millennials are ruining the country," and of course "I want you out of my house if you don't CUT THAT HAIR!"
But to answer your question, my best stock has come from Lukas and Ravi. I've also received some solid boxes from Rob over the years and many of these have been "clearance" boxes that have great wrapper shade and oils that have been made even better by the wallet friendly pricing.
However, I personally don't think that you can define vendor experience simply by cigar quality. Shipping times, communication, resolution of issues, and getting what you think you're paying for are all part of what makes a vendor good or bad. Rob and his team are among the best in resolution of issues IMO and communication is always on point. But I'll keep it real, Rob can come up short in some of those categories as well. In my book, there's no reason for boxes to ship out 2 weeks after purchase. I'm sure that many folks have been burned by the PSP tag in the past and I know I've paid a premium to receive forgettable boxes more than once. But to me, the worst part has been the addition of the dreaded "*mostly" tag, which has made it incredibly hard to shop by box code. No one wants to pay for El Laguito cigars but instead receive XYZ coded bullshit.
