Since you know where he is, and where he is likely to be, it may be worthwhile to surprise him face to face.
The amount he owes you is large enough that it makes sense to consider all your options.

Like I said, I posted Amir's response because I believe it adds additional context to the depths and lack of morals that Amir possesses. You appear to erroneously believe that I am somehow affiliated Amir in some way. To state that I am a "go between" is 100% a douche move. Amir's response was posted in the H & Co group on FB and is available for anyone in said group to see. I simply copied and pasted from there. For additional context, allow me state a little about myself: my real name is Cass Malec and thats what I go by on FB. If you are in any cigar groups on FB you may have seen some of my prior posts calling out swine such as Gary Bohn (I'm the guy who posted all the info proving that he sold fakes) and Denis Moynihan (I wrote a diatribe on why he is scum and how the people who tried to defend him were at the very least gullible fools.) So don't come at me trying to insinuate that I'm defending scumbags, my record demonstrates the exact opposite. If you don't see how his response adds value in showing how he's scum, then I really don't know what to tell you.

Looks like this little fuck Leander de Silva was tied to some Amir scams (LeonLiang) http://www.onlinehumidor.com/forum/index.php?topic=15153.0

Amir post in FAKE  - Detective of cigar counterfeits on Facebook

It is me Leon is writing about. Though he did not name me he has told others and they have. This is what happened. I was offered a number of boxes by a local broker here in Toronto. He is known by many of us in the cigar world and I have done numerous successful deals with him previously. He told me the cigars were not his but an unnamed party. He told me the cigars had been checked out and were ok. I, in turn, offered them to Leon and others. Leon said he wanted 20 boxes. I told him, and we both have copies of the correspondence, that as I do not know who they are coming from and have not seen the cigars to move slowly. I said let's do a small number to see the cigars. The first box arrived damaged and questionable. I at that time said we should cancel the deal but Leon said lets see the next boxes, at which time 2 more were shipped by the original seller. Leon's concerns were immediately (after the first box arrived) relayed to the broker here and, I assume, to the seller.  Leon knew the name Miguel Sandoval even before I did. Seems he was the origin of these cigars and his name and address was on the shipping documents. I have never spoken to Miguel and still have no idea who he is. All my interaction has been through the broker here who is known to many in the cigar world, Leander DeSilva. It has not only affected Leon but others as well. I have accepted that it is my responsibility to get Leon his money back just as the broker has promised me he will refund me. I have not spoken to Miguel Sandoval but have been told by this Leander that he has been affected with multiple clients on this. This is the first time I was brokering cigars I had not seen nor known the origin of them. I told Leon so and that is why we are only talking about this amount and not 20 boxes. If my intention was to screw him and my reputation in one shot, I assure you he would be bitching about 20 boxes. If I had intended to rip him, or anyone off I would have not introduced him to collectors around the world. Ones he has visited in many cities and made multiple purchases from, never asking for nor getting a single penny in commission. I would have not sold him a Ramon Allones Replica for the Havana price before accepting orders from others for $2000 more. As this affected me greater than Leon's boxes I do not have the amount required to make everyone whole but have fought for this restitution and was even going to make it myself once I had the funds.I am still fighting for it and have never once told Leon "too bad" or anything ruder. I see he is not publicly telling anyone about the other cigars he has purchased from me or from others I introduced him to. As for Robert Adams, I cannot see what he is writing as he is the only person I have ever unfriended on Facebook. I have never bought or sold a cigar from Robert but he has had a hate on for me for years. He is the same guy that has asked me in the past to photoshop documents he wanted altered and told people, when the Partagas book was delayed that I stole $3,000,000 in advance orders and that there was no book. He is not aware of any of the cigar deals I have been a party to. He even had to pay off a bet to one of the responders to this thread when this friend showed up with a copy of the book from the launch in Havana. I do not know why he has spent the last 3 years lying and badmouthing me and have not paid attention to anything he said privately nor publicly. I had a good laugh with Gordon Mott when I told him Robert said that he had flown him and Marvin Shanken to Havana on Robert's private plane. But that is not the situation that merits response. Leon is telling the truth and it is my responsibility and I am trying to make it whole and will do so. I sold him the cigars, with the caveat's mentioned earlier. It was not an attempt to rip him off. I have dealt with many here, and have spent years nurturing a reputation in the cigar world that I am extremely proud of. It was the first time I had ever sold cigars from a source I did not know and I was cautious and advised Leon from the start to be as well. I advised to cancel the deal after the first box arrived, before the next two were even shipped but Leon asked for more to be shipped. That would have not been my course of action if I thought I was getting away with a crime. I thank all the people who are standing up for me. I am humbled by their dedication and friendship. That my friends is the whole story.

another Amir post

As for why get involved with third party? Leander and I have done quite a few successful deals for his clients and mine. He got this deal through an impeccable source and told me the cigars had been inspected. He too has been hit hard. Obviously it was a mistake for all involved

sounds like a tough recovery down in havana... lol

It never ceases to amaze me how these things happen over and over again from repeat offenders.  Gary Bohn is still majorly active and slinging stuff all over the place for example

I’ve seen several make more than a passing comment about Bohn. I know he sells on one of his sites on fb and have never bought from him because I can get them cheaper. But I’ve never seen anything negative about him until this thread and it would be good to be clued in to what exactly he’s done.
