I like people who do like I do - send others the BEST sticks and keep the one-offs for themselves. There's a couple folks here who do just that (and I can tell).

Exactly. There are sellers out there like this. If/when I sell off some 5ers, if there are any scuffed/ripped cigars, those are the ones I end up with and ship off the better ones.

If I'm selling cigars that among them have foot issues or whatever the case may be, I always ship the intact ones and use 5er bags. I know of no perfect means of keeping anything from happening during shipping though. I think what the OP is implying is that people are smoking cigars from a box and determining they're crap and then selling crap on to the next person knowing full well they're crap, not getting a 5er that has a nicked foot or two.

The initial premise of this thread is absurd. Are you seriously proposing that someone buys 3 or 4 boxes of a vitola from the same yr and some are great and some are crap?
I've smoked an arse load of CCs over the last 20 yrs or so. I will be the first to say that yr to yr there can be significant variation (remember how good Fundys were in '98, then poof they were gone) Other than what ever happened in Cuba to cause the 99/00 disaster I've never felt that one box of Punch Churchills from '98 was better or worse than another. Or that one box of RyJ Shorts from '07 was better or worse than another.
Sure, the possibility exists that someone bought 2 boxes from yr 1 and yr 2 and yr 2 wasn't very good so he swapped boxes. Yea, that can happen. But regularly, you must have started watching the X Files again.
I understand that some folks love to throw rocks at this site, but for the life of me I can't understand why you come here at all if you hate this site as much as you claim. On occasion I buy from people here, and from folks overseas. Both work for me.

Exactly. Have not had a plugged CC in years. 63% and 63 degrees keeps them perfect.

I have a batch of WF custom rolls that contain a fairly large number of tent pegs, well damn I was just going to toss them in the back of the humidor for a few years but now I know what to do with them! :cal:

Where has TimO been lately? After Taps (forcefully) left, he provided the BZ entertainment.

I missed it but what haapened to taps?
