I went to the liquor store right before new year's to pick up some zacapa 23 which is terrific.  When I was there, I checked out the bourbon and went a bit off the rails.  Picked up 2 bottles of Noah's Mill - never had it before..it's terrific!!  52 buck/bottle.  A Willet pot still shaped bourbon for 40 or so.  Haven't tried it yet, and 2 bottles of Colonel E.H. Taylor Single Barrel - 50 each.  And knob creek 9 yr.  That's great stuff as well.  21 bucks.  Very heavy taste.  I mean very condensed/packed flavor in this bourbon.  Noah's Mill is topping my list when it comes to bourbon I think for right now.  Great stuff.

They had other bourbon called Pritchard's Reserve (80 bucks), 4 Roses Single Barrel (50 bucks or so), and Jefferson's Reserve - very old bourbon"....interesting, but had to pass.  And some bottle of bourbon/rye with a pig on it.  ??  100 bucks.

Willett pot still is pretty good. But you should've bought the whistlepig rye, it's fantastic!

I have to say that the parker's heritage 7th edition is freaking outstanding. It's one of the best bourbons I have ever had. Just a nice dense bourbon. Yum. Glad I have one more bottle of it. Worth looking for this one.

Old Grand Dad 114 isn't a bad option for less than $25, LOTS of rye spice but not overly complex.

That's the one. It's a great damn bourbon for sure. If I'm not mistaken it's heavy on the rye. And I know I'm going to catch some shit over this one....but I would take it over some of the van winkles any day of the week. If you're in the right spot you can get it for about 80$.

You must really like your bil. Sometimes at Christmas I have to wonder whether I'm going to give my bil a gift or an asswhippin!

Do you have any single sisters? Lol
