What are peoples opinions on non-cuban cuban brands?

Someone stole those brand names from their rightful owners.

True but those brands have mostly been sold off to General Cigar, so at this point, what is the value in supporting the original founders? While Cubatobacco may have acquired their brands illegally, they still have access to actual Cuban tobacco.

Messy situation, I prefer what Altadis did by buying out some of the original guys and also buying into Habanos SA. Cleaner even if it means megacorp control of those brands.
